First baby labor can be around 4-24 hours. She came in at 10am when I was fully dilated and throughout the hour, at least 3 times to ask me to do a c-section and than at noon she told me my baby's heart rate is at 150 and my baby can have issues if I dont do a c-section immediately and of course I didn't want anything happening to my baby so I said ok. My medical record didn't say anything about the baby heart rate, just failure to descend. I just needed more time to push which I was not tired at all. After my baby's birth, I looked it up, this is normal for babies heart rate to be at 120-160. It is when it is 190 or something like that is when you want to do a c-section. I was rushed and pushed to have a c-section when I didn't need one. And she lied saying the recovery would be the same as a vaginal birth. It took me 9 months to completely heal from the c-section. ------------ I just had my 2nd baby doing a VBAC with a different OBGYN, it was diffenantly better than a c-section and I was able to get up and about after a few hours of birth! I had my baby all natural it was too late to get an epidural. Vaginal birth was so much better for me, after 2 weeks I was completely healed! OBGYN didn't cut me or anything, but I did have a little tear and had some stiches, my second baby was 6lbs 13oz (first one was 5lbs 12oz).
