Colorado Orthopedic Consultants in Aurora is an organized office. They sent me texts and emails prior to the appointment to get paperwork filled out. Once I arrived I had a short wait to see the doctor. His PA came in first and looked at my ankle and then I had X-rays done to check on status of fracture and healing. Dr. Meyers evaluated the X-rays and found my ankle was healing. All of the rooms I was in were clean and stocked with cleaning wipes. The office has a large area for physical therapy that I just saw. Be aware that parking is limited outside; there is a large parking garage that I ended up in since this office is adjacent to a hospital.

My…read moreprevious orthopedic surgeon had put me in a brace and said that it looked great every time I had an office visit and they took an x-ray and said to come back in another couple of weeks for another check up. My arm was NOT healing and the pain was unbearable and they didn't seem to even care. Dr. DeLaRosa immediately said he was very concerned on my first visit and ordered blood tests and took x-rays and told me that there is definitely something delaying the union of the bone and it was not okay to keep waiting. Within 2 weeks, we had performed surgery and my bone had been stuck in the muscle the whole time and was never going to heal without surgery. Dr DeLaRosa put in a plate and screws and the bone is literally in perfect alignment again! Today my arm is nearly back to full function and better every day! I cannot say enough about the quality of care from all of the staff from the front desk to the schedulers, the MA's and of course Dr DeLaRosa....everyone at OCC went above and beyond for my care and still does!

When they told me that I needed an MRI, I suggested several places that were affordable and close to me. Instead they had me go downtown to a location that was difficult to find. When I got there, none of the pre-paperwork have been done by the clinic, and they expected me to pay $1742!!! How awful and what an awful experience! Today they are supposed to read the MRI results to me - but I had to call them to make an appointment to do so, and it has been several, several weeks now. I would not recommend this place to anyone! I decided to select Mile High Physical Therapy, in the Lowry neighborhood. I am glad that I chose this practice. I randomly selected Mile High, after surfing the list of Humana in-network PT providers. After about 10 unsuccessful tries at other practices, Mile High was the only call whereby someone, a human, answered the phone. That was my first clue that they would offer personalized service. I worked with both doctors, Kimberly Houston, and Padeu Wolfe, who seriously compliment each other, well-representing the elegance and ambiance of the minalist modern decor. They use state of the art tools, including the Kinesis cable system, and an elastic flex wand/bar that just fascinated me! Between Dr. Kimberly Houston and Dr. Padeu Wolfe, not only did I work on their sophisticated cable system, and magic wand, I received the most gentle massages in the damaged area, my rotator cup. Dr. Derickson did not even examine her feet prior to starting to cut her toe nails. I told him that her toes were extremely sensitive and painful when being cut. He just said it was going to hurt and they are always going to hurt. I then asked him if he read here file and he said yes, as there were extenuating circumstances I wanted to make sure he was aware of. She has dementia and has very little patience sometimes. He proceeded to cut her toe nails with a huge instrument with no care or compassion. She eventually stood up and said enough and we walked out. He was shocked and was disrespectful and rude with his words as we walked out. I would not want anyone else to experience what we did.
