This year I used him to file my 2018 taxes and it was worth every penny. Very easy online portal to upload information and necessary documents. He then emailed me the questionnaire; I put I was interested in "Individual taxes" and sent it back to him, I NEVER put I was interested in Investment management or any other kind of financial services. So he knew this whole time I only wanted tax preparation. He still proceeded to call me today and asked a few questions related to our tax situation. Then at the end of the call he asked if I was looking for someone to manage our investments, I said not at this point...we are only looking for tax preparation now. His tone completely changed and he abruptly told me in a condescending manner we are not a good fit because they are saturated with tax preparation clients and he's looking for clients who want investment management. I was pretty shocked at the change in his tone and his annoyance once I told him I didn't need someone to manage our investments. Again, I made it VERY clear from the start I was looking for tax preparation services only from my initial message AND the questionnaire he had me fill out. I honestly don't know why he still called and was rude when he knew he couldn't take on any more clients who only wanted tax filing.

I had several years of un-filed tax returns to catch up on (mostly W-2 income with one year of additional 1099) and we just got everything wrapped up. Randy was very helpful not only in preparing the returns, but also explaining what he was doing and why. He prioritized the returns that were time-sensitive and let me know what additional information I needed to gather to maximize deductions/minimize amounts owed. He even helped with a payroll glitch that I otherwise wouldn't have known about. This was an unprecedented experience for me, so I can't vouch for how his rates compare with other tax professionals, but I can only imagine that the bill for the service was fair. It was an expensive mistake on my part, but I'm very glad I came to ABC to get the issue resolved and will definitely be making a return visit (early) next year for my 2016 returns.

I ended up calling April with an urgent situation today, my Drs office had really messed up, they waited until the day of my appointment to try and get approval for something I need. Then they said the request was denied for lack of coverage. It's darn near impossible to get issues with insurance coverage taken care of quickly much less in 2 hours. Well, April did it! I left her a voice mail and within minutes she messaged me saying she was on the phone with the insurance company and would have it all sorted out. Within another 10 minutes she had emailed confirming it was covered, along with documentation and said she had faxed everything to my Drs office. Just a few minutes after that she was on a conference call with my Drs office and the insurance company to make sure everything was handled and I wouldn't have to reschedule. This isn't the first time Todd Financial has had to help with a difficult situation. But every time they get the problem solved! I recall mentioning to April in passing once, that a co-worker who was expecting twins had just found out one of the babies would need open heart surgery (yeah really). The AI agents were horrible, kept sending me through the same loop, and ultimately I gave up and left a 3*. After their prompt response by a real person to set up an appointment, I decided to take down my review to potentially leave a better one if things went well. I was scheduled for an appointment about a week out, and at the time of the appointment, I called the number and received another virtual assistant (not AI to my knowledge), who told me that the person I had the appointment with was on another call. I left my number and was never contacted, until about 3 weeks later, by email calendar invite, telling me that another appointment had been set up in another week or two. I already got my issues handled by another CPA and will be working with that other firm in the future. I hope this firm here gets their virtuals and artificials straightened out soon
