I want to start off by thanking the owner / front desk staff / server - JC for the amazing hospitality we received from him on our two night stay at his hotel. Even before we stayed here, I bothered him with countless emails of questions and requests. He was always very quick to reply as well as had all requests accommodated! We arrived very late and had called him to warn him of that and he had no problem just having the room secured for us. He wears many hats at his hotel and does the job very well! The service was just excellent and we felt very welcomed. The hotel is brand new and situated on top of a hill with a beautiful view of La Roche-Clermault valley. It was pretty easy to get to with any navigation we used. Plenty of free parking available outside. The rooms were nice and modern. Very clean. On a smaller side, but that's pretty much to be expected in Europe. The bathroom was very spacious and had a very nice shower. The counter had a lot of shelf space and I truly appreciated this. Bed was very comfy with nice linens. I think the highlight of the room was a small balcony with a table with chairs. It was great having a cup of coffee out there in the morning. I think my only complaint about the room is that I think it was slightly too dark in the bathroom. I was getting ready for a wedding and it was hard for me to do my make-up. I think under the regular circumstances, I would have hardly even noticed this fact. We had a breakfast one of the two mornings that we were there. The second morning in a desperate need of coffee, I had JC give me a complimentary pot. It was very nice of him. The breakfast was pretty inexpensive at a 9 Euro per person and had a decent array of typical breakfast foods including crepes. Some of my friends and I did miss eggs, but it was hardly an inconvenience. I had recommended this hotel to another two couples that stayed there at the same time as us and I can say that I received very nice remarks from both sets and they complimented me on my choice. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It was a great value. Free WiFi connection was excellent, which I can't say about any hotel. read more
