Experienced teachers that build relationships with your kids and as parent I get a ton out of chatting with teachers at pick-up. Not ONCE have we had a weird/bad experience. There are many folks here that have been a very positive/constructive influence for our kids over the years and I wouldn't limit the 5 stars to one particular classroom or teacher. Starbright also strives to stay open even when ASD closes for remote learning days which is super helpful with little ones. We are extremely happy that we decided to enroll our eldest in Missy's kindergarten class here. She is one of those rare teachers folks use in those password hints "what was name of your favorite teacher in your whole life?" Also Starbright is recently under new ownership and after experiencing both the old and the new, I can say they haven't lost a beat. The new owner/director (also) Missy is awesome. I have been charged a total of $1258 for child care provided for my school-aged child in the month of March 2021. Per the signed agreement with this provider, my charges should have been $901.13 (for full time plus monthly rate plus overage fees). My family was overcharged by $356.87 for one month of care!! Leah in accounting is the main source of the issue with her gross incompetence when it comes to basic accounting. But the administrative staff is no better! I brought my concerns up to the head administrator Vass and then to the owner Susan Deloach who both refused to even listen to my detailed and thorough explanation of exactly how they were not charging correctly per our signed agreement. Vass even had the audacity to look me in the face and tell me that the child care assistance the state pays for my family is "their money" and they can do with it whatever they please!! For a faith based child care center, this place is surprisingly lacking in morals.

The main administrator/front desk person is just incredibly nice to work with and so great with my kids, very easy to communicate with. All of the teachers have been caring with my children. I've found the center to be extremely reliable- they have only been unexpectedly closed due to weather events that follows ASD closures. I've been extremely impressed with the preschool curriculum- my son comes home counting in Spanish and has learned basic writing and is working on reading. Overall, I feel my children are safe and well-cared for and I would recommend CCDC to friends.

I have never had any anxiety dropping my son off here. I appreciate the professionalism with the front desk people, as well as the childcare providers. My son has always been cleaned, fed, and cared for - never any problems. They have always let me know when he was running low on supplies but never with an attitude. After a month, my son smiles when he sees his regular care providers in the morning, and they take good care of him, and are excited to see him as well. Despite a couple of the goofy reviews whining about the $50 deposit, I came in to see for myself and I'm glad I did - I will keep my son going here for the foreseeable future. There are many highlights and advantages to PNA. The downside is there seems to be a lack of communication and transparency. Each teacher seems to set their own curriculum and classroom standards. Academics could be more challenging. No hot lunch except for pizza Monday's. Tuition is one of, if not the highest in anchorage. Overall is suits our needs as we are only here two years but we will definitely add some tutoring this summer to make sure our kids don't fall behind the lower 48's standards.
