The sales person Alayna was extremely helpful in the designing of our closet, measuring and suggesting ways to maximize the space while maintaining the beauty of the closet. We explored other providers of this product and found Closet by Design to be reasonable. Not the least expensive but just about in the middle of the price range. The best part of this project was the installation. Alex and Gerson are probably the very best technicians I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. The project includes removal of my existing built-in closet and installation of my new one which was anticipated to take 3 days. It was completed in a little overcast day and a half. They were amazingly fast and talented in their work performance. Having worked in construction and renovation of properties I can tell you their performance was exceptional. We had a few after completion changes which were also completed professionally and perfectly. I highly recommend this company if you are planning to renovate your closet.

Interiors by Steven G brought true excellence to our recent home renovation. Impeccable taste,…read morecommitment to deadlines, skillful quarterbacking of complex approvals. I don't know that you could ever call a year-long process where you're displaced and writing endless checks a "joy." But working with Estefania and Letizia - and Steven himself, who is a master salesman and glad-hander but also pretty damn formidable as a creative force - the key quality is "listening." Estefania really sat with us and asked intelligent questions and offered options that allowed us to get much closer to what was in our heads and hearts. My wife and I are not designers. In this wall-to-wall redesign of our beautiful home, we achieved something that was both totally bespoke and yet relatable and not a white elephant. This is my second time working with IBSG for a full redo - the first one was naked developer unit, and this one was bought from a previous owner. It's hard to believe anyone gets excited about throw pillows that match drapes. This is your home, and in my case it's forever because I'm never fucking moving again. So spend that time with someone who doesn't make you feel like it's a chore to take your calls on these mundane matters. Estefania in her quiet, introspective way, actually brings a strong point of view and a killer eye for detail, especially when it comes to mood and shapes. If you look at my dining room table, it's not just supported by very beautiful legs, but they overlap each other and create a sort of wave look. That's beautiful on its own, but when you pit it against the ocean, looking at those waves suddenly feels not just gorgeous but organic. Every room features little details that I'm still noticing weeks after we've moved in and plan to enjoy for years to come. Another example: I'm a tall dude and I like to watch TV and I don't wanna feel shamed by those traits. Many designers favor austere minimalism and I get that because I hate tchotchkes everywhere. But when I sit down to watch Better Call Saul, I want space for my giant soda and bowl of popcorners. Voilà they found a gorgeous piece and placed it where it doesn't look like I'm suppering at Wendy's. And then there's the follow-through. On any project of this size there will inevitably be a few things that don't work or don't match. They've already got your money. One could easily envision a lesser company ghosting you - they give you the bottle of champagne and onto their next project. That hasn't been my experience with ISBG. Yes, it's so that clients like me will write reviews and make recommendations, and I get that. But I really get the sense they care about getting it right. They take pride in their work. Thank you to Steven G and Estefania and Letizia and even the billing department who have the brutal job of hectoring rich douchebags for yet another wire. It's not fun, but it has to be done, and I'd rather work with people who do it with class and a smile. I'm not really equipped to weigh in on whether their pricing is the most aggressive or if the markup should be this or that percentage. We had a budget. We nearly stayed within it and if I could've wrestled some other firm to a different number, like I said, I'm gonna live in this place for 30 years, and I want it done right. There's an old joke where a lady comes to meet with her interior designer and the designer says, "Madam, what are you looking to achieve?" The lady says, "I want my home so that when my best friend, who I love like a sister, comes to visit, she should drop dead." That's what the team at IBSG has achieved. This home is totally liveable and useable, but also ... drop-dead gorgeous.

Withheld homeowner's paid-for materials and left a family without a usable kitchen…read more Our experience with Holz Home Design has been extremely disappointing and damaging. After our contractor was terminated, Holz refused to release remaining cabinetry materials required to complete our kitchen unless the contractor paid his outstanding balance -- despite the fact that we, the homeowners, had already paid for the cabinets. As a result, our kitchen was left half finished and unusable for an extended period of time, causing significant hardship to our family, including a household with a baby under one year old. We offered to pay Holz directly for the materials currently completed and being held for our project, but still refused to release the materials. Homeowners should be aware that Holz's business practices may leave you caught in the middle of contractor payment issues, even when you are willing to resolve matters directly. This situation created unnecessary stress, delays, and disruption in our home. I would strongly caution any homeowner to fully understand how materials are controlled and released before proceeding with this company.

No discount was given. Instead, they changed the initial blind cleaning quote to a higher quote. Not cheap. They were not able to put back one of the blinds properly. One came back with a big spot that was not there before. When I complained, they took it back and did not return it for weeks. I had to chase the owner who ghosted me and did not return my calls. I finally got it back. It was ruined: it doesn't close properly anymore. And now all the blinds that they cleaned are warped. How these guys have a license from Hunter Douglas to clean expensive blinds is beyond me. I reported them to Hunter Douglas. Unfortunately, they said they can't control quality from independent businesses. Big scam. I got taken by these guys and my blinds are ruined.

Most interior decorators only design for high end properties but Barbara designs for both high end properties and yachts while also amenable to small projects. Thank goodness! Barbara has a depth of experience and knows how to listen to the client. She took all of my comments and added her knowledge to come up with a design, furniture and accessories that were within my budget of $10,000. Barbara gives you choices so if you want to spend a little more or a little less in one area you have options. My explicit desire was to have a blue accent wall downstairs. I LOVE my blue accent walls. Barbara chose a blue color that added a WOW factor when you walked into the home. Barbara managed the whole project, coordinated the furniture delivery, painters and electricians. She even made trips to several spots to pick up items. She incorporated almost all of my accessories and paintings in the final design. She is a perfectionist and goes more than the extra mile to make sure everything is perfect. She designed the living room, dining room, power room while selecting paint colors for all rooms and hanging paintings in every room of the house. While the final cost was slightly less than $10,000 I feel the value of the home increased by more than $10,000. I am absolutely thrilled with all of Barbara's work which only took 4 days of actually working in my home. Barbara is quick and efficient and, above all, you can completely trust her judgment. If you are looking for an interior designer you will be very pleased with Barbara Brickell Designs.
