The waitress brought me out a free starter of fresh bread with a flavored oil and olives. Both was tasty. The waitress, Julia, also gave extremely wonderful service. She was very attentive and even gave me a free map of Aachen as well as explained how to get to certain places. She also let me try some of the local Aachener Printen. She was so nice. The restaurant dates back to the 1600s. The decor felt like traditional german decor. The restaurant is several levels and has seating out front as well. Overall, I loved this place and would continue to return when I come to Aachen.

The schnitzel I ordered tasted terribly, so as the fries and the mushroom sauce (cheap supermarket frozen food). For €15, it felt like a total rip-off. Same with the traditional sausages that my girlfriend ordered. Also, the men's bathroom is literally one of the smallest bathrooms I've ever seen - if you're taller than 1,80m it is unlikely that you'll fit in. My advice: save your money and eat somewhere else if you want traditional, good quality food.
