Besides the advantages of the Montessori philosophy, Nick, the director, and the teachers are truly caring and loving with the children. They put emphasis on the child learning to do things independently, which builds confidence at a young age. The atmosphere in the school is very relaxed, and the children spend a long time outside every day (in winter this midday outing ensures they get to see the light!). The lunches are all from organic and fresh ingredients (supplied by Aitokauppa) and most made on-site, which makes me feel good that our children are getting the nutrients they need. I would recommend this school to anyone who agrees that children should learn social and educational 'skills' in a non-pressured and stress-free environment. This school really guides children and their natural curiosity and creativity, to get ready for elementary school. In fact, it seems most of children can learn basic reading and math (in English) before they go to elementary school.
