What a feast we had. I think it was 12 or more courses, including "snacks" that they brought out in…read morethe beginning. We ordered the wine pairing to accompany the dishes.
The restaurant is in the lower level of the castle. The spacing within the restaurant was generous and commodious.
The food was very creative, both in its presentation and taste. However, the wine pairings were not up to my expectations, and we were only served one red wine towards the end of the meal.
We ended up cancelling a course, as the evening dragged on several times towards the end of the meal. There were two or three occasions that we waited 20 or more minutes between courses. Though we were seated for our meal at 7:30, and there were others who came in after us, we were the last to leave after 1 am!!! Entirely too much time, which is why we cancelled the time consuming apple tea service, which would have significantly added to the length of the dinner.
We were so full and tired at that point, as we walked to our room, we then decided not to go down for breakfast the next morning though it was included in our hotel package.
Our server, Antony, was most knowledgeable about the food and wines and helped make the evening enjoyable.
I would return to this Michelin Starred restaurant, but only for a 6 or 6:30 seating. Also, I would not get the wine pairing, instead preferring to either make my own selection by the glass, or by the bottle.
