Stocking bras and panties (G's, knickers, boy legs), sets, and sexy costumes including some very dramatic, sensual masquerade masks. But the thing I love them most for and what I think they'd be most renowned for is the range of beautiful, sexy elegant corsets. For the bedroom or a night out I've never seen more variety. Shirt corsets, bed wear, dress corsets, sparkling white and black, ruffles and fiery reds; they are the sexiest yet classiest bustiers and corsets I've seen. And everything - well - most things here are SO cheap!! Stocking some of the same brands as the bigger stores there's not much here over $100, with most things being under $50. Bras are as little as $10, knickers $5 and Cotton On's sumptuous dressing gowns, which sell for around $50 full price are usually in stock for more like $20. There is an enormous amount of stock to work your way through so I recommend grabbing as much as you can and then working your way through your purchases. The sales assistants do their best in a very busy environment, they are really helpful but don't expect them to stick with you the whole time - they have to keep track of all the other customers too. The stock is discounted all year round so I recommend going there every couple of months to see what new stock they have moved in. When you're shopping at David Jones or Myer and looking at lingerie, keep in mind that many of those items may well end up at Bendon a few weeks or months later.

As such, queues for changing rooms and suchlike can be formidable but if you're wise and avoid this place like the proverbial plague at weekends you can come away with more than a few bargains without too much hoopla. $10 bra sales and the like are commonplace and you can easily save up to 70% on some very saucy smalls. A quick caveat emptor: there's a reason that a lot of this stock is discounted with some odd - and overly kinky - designs and not the best range of sizes on offer. As such, do make sure you choose wisely to avoid mistakenly returning home with too small smalls or crotchless panties. That said, for eagle eyed lingerie lovers the Bendon Factory Shop is an absolute must visit.

Perusing the shelves is like getting your hands on the Mad Men wardrobe department, were the show filming an episode about a female punk group. Though the designs are apparently centred around the more voluptuous side of the female form, I have had difficulty finding dresses flattering to my particular proportions when actually worn. This is perplexing, as my figure is well within the target size range and actual type for this kind of frock. Perhaps I just haven't tried on the right dress yet, as I see enough women wearing their designs around town and looking fabulous. There's a modest range of accessories available, including some gorgeous patterned tights and funky high heels. According to the website, they also do custom handmade wedding dresses. The prices are what you'd expect for a local designer, and therefore the clothes are more of an investment purchase for most women.
