This is one of many Il Papiro locations not just in Florence but all over the world. However, despite its expansion outside of Florence, Il Papiro still practices the traditional Florentine techniques to make beautiful peacock-like designs on paper.
I often popped into this location as it is on Via Cavour, a popular main street that connected Piazza San Marco and the Duomo. It was difficult resisting the cute products at the shop. Everything is well made and looks so lush and expensive, and I brought hime made products for ourselves as well as friends, from books to journals to picture frames--they have beautiful, fantastic items for every price range. I also enjoyed the patient and informative conversations that I had with the shopkeepers about the process of making their beautiful paper products
Il Papiro take pride in their products, and it shows. It isn't often you can find a business that has expanded all around the world yet maintains the quality of a trade that took so much skill from centuries ago.
