We were lucky enough to get a table. It was busy when we arrived but we were seated quite quickly and had menus in our hands. The service here is super friendly and welcoming. They have a normal menu and a daily specials board. I ordered the Bärlauch Rissotto with fish for my main and it was very nice. We also had a nice bottle of Italian wine. The ingredients were fresh and well cooked. The flavours were intense and did not need anything else added to it. The ambience is quite nice and its not very noisy either. The interior is well done and all the tables had nice white tablecloths on them and so on. Whilst it looks like an upmarket place, the prices are not. I would happily come back here again for a meal. I had a lunch menu which included a salad, a ravioli-type pasta lunch special with asparagus filling in a light creamy lemon sauce, and a hazelnut cream dessert. My kids had the bolognese and shared a tiramisu. Everything was delicious. We did not try wine for lunch but the menu looks good. Also a trip to the bathroom transports you into another world to do your thing accompanied by a disco ball, party lights and dance music. For dinner, I recommend making reservations in advance. It will be worth it and is a great place for date night!

The beer was good, wine was good I was told, and the wait staff was courteous and sweet. They let us talk and stay (we haven't seen each other for a long time, so we had a lot to talk about) 15 minutes after they closed. Even then they didn't come to us to tell us to go, but we accidentally found out by asking to order more beer. The chef and the waitress seem to be Italian, they were speaking pretty fluent Italian. But aside from all these non food related stuff, I would definitely come back here.

That, we discovered, is because you are treated as honored guests in the home of the Chef/Proprietor and his daughter (who was our lovely server). A friendly chat revealed that the Chef, hailing from Messina, Sicily, had toiled for 13 years helping to build the reputation of Lugana, before purchasing this magnificent gem earlier this year. Alongside the warm greeting and service, we enjoyed an excellent starter salad and a lovely Insalata Caprese. My main course, a "blackboard special" of a ziti noodle with beef, and a "natural" sauce, was delicious, and highly recommended (if available). My business colleague's seafood pasta was also excellent. Although I didn't have a great deal of room for dessert and cappuccino, I'm glad that I pushed the envelope; as the home-made Tiramisu was the perfect ending for a delightful meal.
