Food was average. The waiter literally laughed at me when I said thank you in German. He never checked on us after our wine glasses were empty and had to flag him down after waiting for 30 minutes at an empty table when we were done for the check. This restaurant is located in the hotel Überfahrt and was awarded 15 Gault Millau points. I only gave it three stars for one reason, the food. The service here is 5 star and we had a fantastic waiter who was very friendly, funny and prompt. The wine list is good but far too expensive for what it is, compared to other luxury hotels. The ambience here is good and the menu looked quite ok. The food prices were also quite ok. We decided to have pasta and I ordered a spaghetti with prawns. It tasted nice but was missing the wow factor for me. My local Italian does this dish way better and I was expecting this explosion of simple flavours but, it missed the mark for me. My dessert of Casssta (I love this dessert and order it everywhere I see it on a menu) was nice but once again the berry compote took away from the star of the dish, the cassata. I would have much preferred it on its own without too much other things added to it. Our wine was ok and nothing special. All in all an ok experience. I may consider coming back here again but given the choices for other things here, might have to think twice before I do. If anything brought me back here, that would be the service. read more

Very disappointing food in a first class environment with first class service. Went there for our anniversary for lunch on a Saturday expecting nothing but good things. Starters were very much ok but not special - lentil soup and a salad. The problem started with the bread: they serve a very nice plate with a piece of salami (nice), some olives (can't go that wrong), two oversized grissini (in the oven too long, almost burned) and a focaccia (also over-baked - and a little too sweet): The two restaurant made items disappointed. So it all came down to the entrée - Lasagna. Well-crafted with veal and a béchamel - but not fresh at all. It was actually cold at the center - classic fridge/freezer microwave disaster. We returned it immediately and declined any further food. A restaurant in a 5 star hotel should be ashamed to deliver something like this. The lasagna did not appear on the bill but nothing further was offered. The waiter apologized but no one from the kitchen or management showed up. read more
