If you are an Ikea lover than this is not the shop for you. You will not find any cabinets in here from 100-300 Euros, but you will find other pieces of furniture in here for that price. They deliver almost anywhere with in the NL or Europe. I would encourage you to explore from the very beginning to the back of the shop.

I love my new pillow and my sleep is so much better. Also, their linen (pillow cases and sheets) are fantastic! So comfortable. I can't wait for the day when I can buy one of their mattresses! The prices for most of the beds were definitely out of our financial league. However, they do sell some economical mattresses that start at 3,000 euros, but then the price spikes up high significantly. I was not interested in the only one that they had on display for the Netherlands. However, I was a fan of some of the other products in the shop that I thought were economical. The sales team in here was very pleasant. Invited us out to their guest home for free in Greece to view more of their fine beds, and surprisingly gave us some really nice gift bags with goodies in it for our home. The nice part about Coco-Mat they are located all over the globe. Their inventory is more then just mattresses, so don't be financially intimidated to come in here, because not all their products will break the piggy bank. At the moment they are promoting a great cause on behalf of women with breast cancer. I would strongly encourage folks to check it out. You can make your own nice pillow for only 35 euros, and a part of the proceeds supports women who have been impacted by breast cancer. They have some serious nice and firm pillows in here.

It's nice to visit this place for inspiration even though you know you're not going to buy anything. They do have some cute decorations and glassware that is affordable, although it still is not cheap. Its sections range from stationary to kitchenware to kids stuff to party supplies to furniture - really a dizzying array of things both practical and/or pretty. My favorites have got to be the vintage style posters and drawer liners by the meter - not like I purchased any of these, but looking through these colorful rows or patterns is so much fun! The upstairs is a whole outlet area with discounted stuff, some pretty good bargains to be had! Luckily I was flying Easy Jet back, or I may have loaded up a trailer or a boat and floated myself back to London on a brightly colored ship with all the doo-dads. ALL OF THEM. Instead I bought a red rooster tape dispenser (10 euros) and a really cute mobile (for a baby boy). I even got 15 percent off the mobile because it was the only one left, and a display model. They offered this without any protestation from me! Great customer service. A very fun shop to pop into. Great to buy a few little things for kids back home, or a statement piece to remind you of the fabulous time you had in Amsterdam. Also, bright umbrellas -- you'll need one here, and in Europe.

From affordable to quite pricey. It's really too much to see in one visit or in a hurry. I enjoyed looking old Delft ceramic squares. There is also a bar that is connected to it, which is quite cool. Veggies and fruit - be wary what you buy and really check it's freshness. Some things were a day or so past it's prime, some a little older. I would recommend this place for things where freshness don't matter: frozen food, snacks, condiments or bottled items, toilet paper, paper towels, bouillon, etc. all that was fine and cheap. For fruits and veggies, hit it miss (more miss than hit). This place won't replace my visits to other markets, but will provide a cheaper supplement.
