This is for the restaurant. It never disappoints. The lamb shank is delicious and as good as some I've had at some Michelin Star restaurants. Of course, the meatballs w/ mash potatoes & gravy are always a hit. And one can't go wrong with the fish & chips. The food is mostly standardized to a global level, but what sets this apart are the desserts, accompaniments, wine selections, coffee, service, and ambiance. Customer service is a career here, not the employment of last resort as in some other places. Putting it all together it's just "Better" than what I've experienced at many Ikea restaurants in other countries. ... hence this review. Try the lamb shank ...it's worth it. The surrounding area is a light industrial business park with some other big box stores and a few American fast food places. ...nothing to rave about. Though, it's a very convenient location 8 minutes from CDG airport and a good place to stop with hungry family for a quick, inexpensive meal that is better than the surrounding choices. Massive free parking, which a +++ anywhere in the Paris metro area. The store itself is worth the drive from Paris due to the broader on-site inventory. Oh what a day... 4 hours at Ikea is enough to drive anyone a little crazy. Especially if the last hour is spent waiting for one 69euro cabinet to be brought out at the pick-up area. We started our day at Ikea in the cafeteria for a quick bite and coffee and it was clean and the food very similar to others. They had a pretty awesome pastry spread unlike others. I also spotted crawfish! We then went through all the different areas that every ikea has structured in almost an identical manner. The place was packed! Must have been because it was Saturday and the weather was nice. We found everything we needed including one item that needed to be brought our from the warehouse. We went through the line pretty quickly and they were even able to add my USA Ikea family number to the purchase. Only thing left was to pick up our one item. There was one person working the 'retrait des achats' (retrieval of purchases) and one other person working the 'livraison' (delivery) section. I was hearing grumbling all around us when we sat down and just accepted it as being surrounded by French people. But after 50 minutes, it was getting ridiculous. We were lucky enough to snag a staffer from the back as he was returning to the warehouse area and asked him if this was normal. In 5 minutes we had our package.
