Saying that, It is nice, comfortable and there are some decent beers on offer. They tend to keep it very dark though for some reason. I also heard that it gets pretty crazy later in the night and there have been the occasional fights. Nice during the day and early evening hours but I wouldn't go there when all the drunks are out!

It has an awesome outside dining space with fire pits in the tables for winter dining. Inside has a pub atmosphere. As for the food, I got The Old Country burger which was okay. I ordered the large but it wasn't much bigger than my friends who got a regular size burger. The fries were more like chips, but the truffle aioli was fantastic. They didn't have a dessert menu which was a disappointment. The service was really slow, but the food came pretty quick. Overall I'd eat there again.

This place specializes in cocktails but, to me anyway, they're not cheap cocktails - 7 to 9 euros - or maybe I'm just cheap. There is just about every kind of drink you may want from mojitos to many different beers to drinks that I've never heard of. I was there on a Thursday and the place got crowded but not overbearing. The crowd seems to be more mature than the local student population (probably due to the prices) and many seemed to have come right from their jobs to have a drink, being in suits and ties. They also have a couple tv screens and as I was leaving they had a Europa League game on. Oh, great music too!

First time to this bar last night even though I ha walked past it many times over the years. Its a…read morebit further down the road, the rue Nimy, from the main square but still a short walk. The bar is set in a basement. Actually its more like a cave or cellar, the walls and ceiling (which are the same thing) are done out in bricks. The place is quite narrow, so obviously no room for dancing to the Latin music that is played in the place. Its nice and not blasting in your ears, which is a welcome change from many other places that seem to not want the patrons to talk to each other. The four of us had a mojito - 3 were strawberry ones and the other just a regular. I was suffering from a hangover from the night before so was kinda glad that they didn't put too much alcohol in it. But then again, it should have had more, so I should have been ticked off. If you go, don't order a mojito because you may be disappointed. The place was very crowded too, which is always a good sign. As for signs, or photos on the walls - pictures of Cuba seemed to dominate, and why not. I spotted a couple and also a larger framed poster of Che Geuvera. I keep forgetting if he was a terrorist or a freedom fighter. I must get back to this place and try some of the other drinks soon. O Bar Hik is truly a diamond in a sea of semi-precious stones, a place that you can enjoy the true elegance of wine in a relaxing atmosphere. They have a fairly large wine list, with a decent sized list of wines by the glass. Food is available as well; small plate offerings. We ordered a bottle of wine, and were given a cup of breadsticks wrapped with prosciutto...yum!!! Also, we enjoyed their version of Bruschetta (see pic) served with a small green salad. This is a small establishment, you can reserve one of the 4 small intimate tables. Otherwise there is a small bar with 3 stools, and another small room with bench seating. If we lived here we would come here often. Can't wait until our next trip.
