This is THE WORST IHOP I've EVER BEEN TO!!! I don't even know where to begin... so much was wrong. I'm disgusted with every part of this experience! In fact, I've NEVER written a Yelp review before and I am now because I'm THAT MAD!!! They were out of everything...and everything was blamed on the owner cutting expenses or the new management. I think the most comical part was when the waitress informed us that the minimum standard of the diameter of a pancake was 3", and it's a waste of the owners money to make them any bigger than that. REALLY?!? Maybe off the kids menu!!! But I've never seen pancakes at IHOP that were much smaller than the full size plate they come on (even on their TV commercials!). My husbands pancakes didn't have half the toppings on them. I was charged $4.99 for pancakes that came with my omelet. Their salsa was sour and their "fresh fruit" was fermented. My son didn't get his eggs or his extra pancakes when our food came out. They'd forgotten my pancakes as well. Our omelets were the size of a taco from Taco Bell!!! They were out of ingredients to make most of what we wanted to order. I could go on and on... but the point is that it was an AWFUL EXPERIENCE and a waste of our time & money! We were there for almost 2 hours total. Ridiculous!!! The only compensation that was offered was to pay for one of the two glasses of chocolate milk that our son drank (a total of $3.79 per glass). If you're in Mobile AL and wanna eat at IHOP, DON'T GO TO THIS ONE!!! Take the extra 20 min and go to the other IHOP across town on Airport, or go to the Waffle House. The menus need to be cleaned off because I've been here a few times and they were sticky. Aside from that, the food was good. The times I have been here, it's been fairly clean (aside from the menus) and the service is fine. Whenever it is crowded, we are served quickly, but for some reason when there is no crowd, we are not given the best service. read more

Saturday at 9:30 while waiting on table we visited bathroom. DEPLORABLE!! Made me not want to eat. Went back to sit in lobby while waiting for table and two ROACHES on wall! LEFT IMMEDIATELY! Would hate to see what the kitchen looked like! Keep driving people!! read more

Our last visit had Jenn. she was remarkable. she was professional and welcoming. This time it was Ashley. Once again I was impressed by how we were welcomed. The food is good, fresh, hot and with excellent variety. This is an IHOP, not a 5 star gourmet feast. What is 5 star is the staff. Ashley also was professional and pleasant. She made us feel very special. It was late Saturday night and I watched as they help each other and everyone in that restaurant went away feeling like they were very special. Went twice to get a fair review. On a non busy non slow day, it took a while to get good service. To the effect of waiting 20 minutes to get the server to get you a refill of water. Wouldn't be a big deal but syrup is sticky and I need to wash that down. Second time it was a slow day since we were the only ones there, Service was faster but by not much. I am not how other iHops are since this was my first one ( I know, for shame.) Also my girlfriend hates giving low tips but.... she was having a hard time deciding what to tip her. read more

It's quite horrible that you have servers that arrange fights in your own parking lot. I have pictures of one of your servers telling someone to meet them at this exact location so she can fight them when she gets off of work. That is extremely unprofessional and just plain trashy. read more

Just about the worst restaurant in the local area. The waitresses are at the mercy of the kitchen staff which constantly turns over as does the management. This was one of my families favorite places to eat ( average of 3 to 4 times a month ) until the new owner took over and the place went downhill rapidly. read more

Early early early this morning after being out at a party my date and I stopped here for a quick bite to eat. Big MISTAKE!!!! We walked in to a Very unkept dining room all sorts of items on the floor. The wait staff was super inattentive in that they brought our drinks eventually took our orders brought the food and check. There was no check back our food orders where incomplete and my omelet was cold as if it had been cooked the day before dates salad came without dressing and my water glass was never refilled. Ordered a garden omelet like I have for many years only to get it and they added broccoli to it. Yuk. They have put it on the menu but being that it had been the same forever I just ordered it without looking at menu. I have a Waffle House a block away and chose to drive 15 minutes to ihop for this omelette. Needless to say I know I can order it without it but I won't be visiting them for some time. Visited IHOP on Saturday December 31st for breakfast ordered stuffed French toast hash browns eggs sunny-side up hash brown, Kirby order Colorado Steak omelette hot cakes Sun order steak omelette hot cakes. Service was slow restaurant appeared, dirty floors need to be swept and/or vacuumed. The waitress advised she had to find a coffee pot, after 20 minutes of waiting for coffee. Food came out after about 30 more minutes, waitress did not check back to see if we needed anything. Hash browns were hard not edible. After tracking down the waitress and getting new hash browns. The food appeared to be cooked on a dirty grill because of all the black crust on the pancakes and other items cooked on the grill.. I will not return!! Workers outside sweeping and smoking. So unprofessional, waitress did not appear groomed, my waitress hair did appear to be combed. Absolutely the worst, no manage visible waitress talking about babysitting other waitress kids while she works, you can hear them complaining about tips and cashing out to get the tips instead of asisting customer here now! read more

We were optimistic when they re-opened. But we were very disappointed. Nothing has changed. The waitresses seem like they don't want to be here. And one you can't even understand what she says. Didn't even get to eat. Nobody was at the front, empty tables everywhere and nobody to sit you/a lot of people waiting to be seated. When someone finally came they left all the people waiting that had been waiting and sat the people just walking through the door. At that point we just left and went somewhere else. read more

Arrived shortly after 8am. Greeted and taken to our table immediately. Server eas very good and our food arrived in a timely manner. The staff at this restaurant are aleays efficient and friendly. I am only giving 3 stars because the restroom was filthy. Did the cleaning crew go on holiday vacation? Paper towels overflowing out of the basket. Toilet paper on the floors of stalls. I am making a second review because it is our second visit during a stop over on our travels a year later. Plus, I am surprised by the low level of rating. For the second time, this IHOP did not let us down. We really like staying at a hotel near by for our travels from Texas to Florida. I am a mother of three who must have cleanliness above all. Not to mention we generally get in late and need something to feed all different tastes. I have pretty high standards and this IHOP is extremely clean, staff was again super friendly and the chef made what we wanted to order without complaining. Facts 8 a.m.on a Tuesday : Ants on table. Trash over flowing in bathroom and at server station, food cold had to send back to be microwaved, servers speaking harshly to one another, but there was still time for two of them to be out front smoking. The worst ihop I have ever been to! First the hostess acted like it was a problem because we wanted a booth "well you will have to wait for us to clean one" yet there were several clean. Then our server took our drink order but never came back to take our order so another server did. The original server was to busy getting the table behind us their "discounts". Terrible and slow service from this woman. And as we sat waiting for our food it appeared this woman was so slow everyone else was having to do her job.
