IHOP is located in the Prince Kuhio Mall on the Long Drugs side. Visits to IHOP when living in Honolulu were rare because of the locations and feeling it was more of a touristy restaurant. Now the Hilo IHOP has a different vibe to it. You'll see more locals in here than tourists. Yes, it's the same menu, but there are some local specials offered. Normally it's Fried Rice and Loco Moco. Recently I tried the Breakfast Tacos. Two tacos with scrambled eggs, bacon bits, cheddar and white cheese sauce with your choice of sides. It was delicious! The salsa was mild and the soft tortilla was grilled for a nice crispy bite. The service is always excellent and the food consistently good. They're open 24hrs on Friday, Saturday & Sunday. I had lunch with my sister and two nieces earlier today. The food was delicious, the service was top-notch, and the ambiance was decidedly casual, which is to be expected from IHOP. We always make a point to eat here at least once when we visit the Big Island, and I look forward to going to this location again! Now that I'm a mom, I appreciate the availability of high chairs, food for toddlers, and the speed at which food is prepared. The food took awhile but they did give the kids one crayon and a placemat to color. That lasted about 1 minute of entertainment for them. LoL I got the veggie patties with rice. The kidlets got rice and eggs. All n all, an ok place for us to go with the kidlets. read more

I never went out to dine here on this island because it lacks of a "wow" factor. However, I was forced to eat breakfast and it was good. Would give ZERO stars if it were an option. $40 for these two plates. placed my order on the app at 8 am. got there at 8:30 am, was told that they didn't receive my order so they would make it for me to be ready im about 10 mins. waited there until about 9:40. mind you, two people came in after me to pickup their online orders, and got their food in about 10 mins or so. finally got my food after waiting for about an hour. opened the bag to check and was welcomed with this. honestly a plate of slob worth MAX $25. will not be returning. hopefully others have a better experience than i did. the side order of blueberry pancakes are the only thing that i wouldve paid money for. this is ridiculous read more

If you do an online order, double check you have everything, especially if you add sides. Out of the numerous times I've ordered, they included the sides I ordered ONCE..... one evening they missed my extra side order of mashed potatoes and the guy who helped me took my plate, moved it up and down and told me "it feels like there's two scoops of mash potatoes so the side is INSIDE the plate already". My mind was blown! It was 5 minutes till they close, so he added "unless you want to wait because we have to thaw out the potatoes". He was a tall curly-haired cook. I love the food at I-hop, just make sure you check they give you the extras you bought online because I can guarantee you THEY WILL FORGET, or they don't pay attention enough to the orders placed. read more

I give this a 5 star not because of the food. There were parts of the meal that was absolutely delious but on the whole not their best. This 5 star is because of the most amazing services. Our waitress went up and beyond. She made me and my daughter feel like a person and not jist another dollar. She wore a geniune smile the whole time. She wasnt afraid to talk and even give advice on her favorite menu choices. We were checked on and give evwrything qe askwd for in a timly manner. This earned our waitress an 130% tip. We may not be rolling in money but there on times when kindness should be paid foreward especially in our society these days where love, respect and all that is seriously eroding away. Paying it foreward would also hopefully encourage our server to contiune to serve with grace. You nevwr know when that one person migbt just need a smile to save their day. Thank you . I was surprised we came for Veterans Day and got seated immediately! Suzy our waitress was fast, friendly and efficient. The rest of the staff was always circling around being very attentive to the job! I was impressed! I was able to get the local special fried rice eggs and spam. Recently had breakfast here for the first time. Customer service was great, the waitresses were very attentive and polite. Food was excellent. We didn't expect to be wowed here, but we were. My husband and I ordered off the 55+ menu and everything was perfect! We both had the 2+2+2 breakfast. Our eggs were cooked perfectly. Sausage was tasty (no gristle like some places). Our pancakes were fluffy and cooked perfectly. Candy was our server. She was kind efficient and attentive. First time eating at Ihop in a while (I'd say over a decade). And man was it delicious! I got the buttermilk crispy chicken with mashed potatoes and spinach, with a side of gravy. So good! My husband got an omelet and it was fresh, huge and really good. My kids meals were all fresh and hot when the came out. Outstanding service and food! I'm really hoping this is not a 1 time thing. I had the Pot Roast, very, very good. I'll order it again. My server, Abcde was the most pleasant and gracious person. She made my morning and the rest of my day. I posted it on Facebook also. The Manager came around also checking how I was doing, how was my meal and was just as pleasant and gracious. I thanked them both and told them I'd be back again and again. This has always been a very pleasant experience, started out rough, however the very kind auntie manager came to fix the small kine issue with her smile and aloha spirit. The meals were very Ono, and service was awesome as always I have came to expect with this location. Aloha above everything else and its nice to know when I come here with my Ohana or for business, I know I'll be treated with aloha. Being that it was the 4th of July, we were having difficulty finding one of our favorite places open for brunch. Craving pancakes we decided on iHop. 30 minutes later I realized why I've stopped coming here. The wait for our food took forever, the pancakes were soggy (fell part while buttering and cutting) and the eggs tasted fake. I was so disappointed! I only ate half of my meal because it was so bad. Our server was courteous and warm. She and the ambiance was the only good thing about my experience. Save your money and time and go to Kuhio Grill or Hawaiian Style instead. Went here tonight and the food was really bad. our eggs were cold and watery and my daughter's steak was bloody and not cooked very well. Then the bus boy decided to come sweep around our table while we were eating. Bill was expensive for 4 people and my husband felt like he NEEDED to leave the 17$ tip since that was 15% I guess. IHOP Hilo, gave me the worse experience I ever here! Very expensive breakfast $91.00 for a family of 4. I had chopped steak it was under seasoned over cooked! Overall poorly executed. The waitress was nice but had major blunders: 1)she forgot my sons hash browns; 2)she charged my credit card $21, because I was honest I corrected her again that she messed up the bill was actually $91! Yes, because of this bad experience I think they should change this restaurant name from IHOP to IFLOP! read more

Fish and chips da fish batter not too good was soft and oily not crispy as a 5/16/2019 Had blueberry pancakes was Ono. The fried rice food had bacon and sausage inside great side dish.
