This is quite possibly the worst diner I've ever eaten at. The menu has a lot of variety in the kinds of combinations you can get, but everything is overpriced. The food that we ordered was overcooked and the hashbrowns had hamburger chunks (or something) mixed in. The pancakes are cakey and have a slight crunch to them. Came in at about 1:45 a.m. The sign says must wait to be seated, so you'd think I'd have been greeted quickly, but I wasn't. I ordered a chicken strip basket to go. It didn't arrive until 2:30 a.m. and both chicken and fries were cold. Also, there was a group of African-American (and I assume Muslim by the head scarfs, but maybe not). They were waiting there for the entire time I was there. One of them asked about what the wait was as there were dozens of open tables. The server (who had been quite nice to me, a white man) seemed annoyed and was sort of rude to the woman, saying the issue wasn't the lack of tables, but the lack of available servers. I thought this strange as even if your servers are busy you normally don't just leave people to stand up front, you can at least seat them and get them drinks and menus. Then 10-15 minutes later another worker came up to ask everyone up front if they needed anything. One worker (not sure if he was a manager, he had an armband/armsock on) said "they are waiting for the rest of their party). But they clearly weren't waiting for anyone else. So I told the woman I think they believe they were still waiting for more people to arrive. So when he came back, the woman asked what the hold up was after 45 minutes, and he extremely rudely said something like "Can you read this sign? What does it say?" He was referring to the sign that said you must have your entire party before being seated. And she said they had their entire party of five, and he said she told him earlier they had six. I hope this was nothing more than a miscommunication, but that plus the wait for my food left me with a pretty poor feeling toward the place. read more

I went to this location today and the gentleman who was supposed to be greeting push me aside so he can help everybody else and blow over the speakers that I was not allowed to come back to the place. I was picking up food for someone else but he did not communicate with me in a professional manner. He yelled add me in front off like 20 people then use the microphone to make it clear that I wasn't allowed to come back all I did was ask are you going to help me and that was his response. I was so happy when this chain was resurrected. They have the lightest, fluffiest pancakes. I hate dark brown cakes. They still have all the weird syrups. I go for the heated up maple. Good omelettes too. I like the one with the ham and salsa, it used to be called the International, but that's defunct. A couple of downers. What's with the one small blob of cold butter on all those cakes. A small plate for a side of cakes, awkward and messy. Cramped because of all the advertising shit on the table. After 40 some years in business, still the shittiest, weakest coffee I ever had. The cornmeal cakes aren't what they used to be. I had to send them back. I think it's still a 24/7 place. It's Ihop. Busy busy busy. We thought we'd miss the church crowd this am but I guess not. The host was fun and kept the waiting guests smiling. We were seated in less than the 15-20 minute predicted wait. Mom had her usual crepes with ligonberry. I strayed from my usual spinach swiss mushroom omelet and tried the biscuits and gravy-meh. The biscuits are ok, seem just rewarmed on the grill. Gravy is blah blah blah only pepper so there is no flavor. Sausage links on the side. Scrambled eggs were right on. Hash browns were great and well browned crunchiness :) Coffee and hot tea great and hard to screw up. I had a very good experience at IHOP on a Saturday morning. We got two garden veggie omelets and a banana strawberry pancake + coffee (bottomless!) The omelet was big and came with a side of 3 pancakes! I barely finished half of the omelet and one pancake. Everything tasted great. Warning 1: The place was super busy at 11 am. We actually have been going to this location a quite a few times this last year and they are exceptional! The manager (can't remember his name but he has glasses and dark hair) he is awesome, every time we are there he always is checking on us and talkative and the staff always does a great job.Some people forget this is a 10 to 15 dollar a meal establishment not a 5 star restaurant, we have watched first hand the servers have to deal with idiot clients and they did an excellent job. We are from out of state and sometimes just go here to get away from the passive aggressive "Minnesota nice" attitude we get at other restaurants.
