Since we were with the tour,…read morewe only tried one item, so my review is strictly based on the Schmalznudel -- but it was delicious! It's basically a freshly fried, slightly sweet dough sprinkled with sugar. It was served warm and was light and crispy on the outside while still soft inside. Definitely one of the better things I tried on our food tour! The place itself is very small, but part of the experience is being able to watch them making and frying everything fresh right through the glass window. That was really neat to see, especially knowing ours had just been made. I can't speak to the other items they offer since we didn't try them, but I would absolutely stop back for another Schmalznudel. Simple, fresh, warm and really good!

It's a great spot to sit, have a drink, people-watch and take in the beautiful surroundings. The food was really good too! We also had the goulash soup with bread, which was hearty and very good. Service was good even though the outdoor seating area was pretty busy. Overall, this was a really nice lunch stop in the middle of Munich. Good food, great atmosphere, and you really can't beat the view from the outdoor tables! Would definitely recommend sitting outside if the weather is nice.

I often go here to get takeaway and on the odd occasion I have sat in the experience has been consistently so so. The breads and Brezn here are good as are some of the desserts. I would give the food four stars. The service however two stars.
