iHeart a lot of things, but the Media isn't one of them. It was cool as I was driving around Youngstown (as I often do) and listening to various pop radio stations, that I noticed the little headquarters of a bunch of the stations I was listening to, including the Sports Animal on AM Radio. That caused me to look up iHeart Radio to see why they are such a big influence all over the country, and that's when I had a shocking realization. They are actually Clear Channel! They were found out to be the politically-motivated tool-of-the-state and so changed their name to something brand new to fool people. Same company that banned Rage Against The Machine during the 911 fallout. Wouldn't want to criticize the government. To be honest most of their stations here in Youngstown (and I've heard several), just play the same old tired Bruno Mars and Taylor Swift songs 24 7 anyway. Wasn't impressed at all. And it's worth remembering that some of those who work forces are the same that burn crosses. read more

There's a creature with acne on my porch. I'm gonna call him "The Spots Animal."…read more My old car (and what a lovely old car it is) does not have a CD player. Not even a cassette deck. I'm gonna take care of that at some point. Until then, I listen to a f***load of radio when I'm on the road. Sadly, radio stations mostly play the same old crap so sometimes I indulge in NPR (the only bearable politics) or some Sports Radio (which is such an American thing). I really liked this channel! It was entertaining, the guys were knowledgeable, and they covered a bunch of different sports. I ended up leaving it on for awhile. Now when I'm near Youngstown, I actually turn to AM just to check it out. Which is really unusual for me because usually I nowhere near AM. It would easily get 4 stars except that it's owned by evil Clear Channel under their new name, iHeart Radio. I do not heart Clear Channel.

"Modern Rock" died with Kurt Cobain, and Top 40 music is so generic these days that Hot FM could just broadcast a steady 4/4 dance beat all day, and no one would know the difference. Another long set of Bob Seeger doesn't seem so bad in comparison.

The Herald is a daily newspaper for Mercer County, PA, which is located between the cities of…read morePittsburgh and Erie. The journalists cover local news for Mercer County as well as a few surrounding counties. They also include articles, podcasts, and videos about state and national topics. The newspaper's website contains sections for news, sports, obituaries, editorials, classified advertisements, social events, legal notices, puzzles and games, etcetera. I first encountered The Herald months ago when I was researching my ancestry. I used obituaries to determine familial relationships and to build my family tree. The Herald's website contained obituaries for several of my distant family members. To access the obituaries, I had to pay a fee. The following options were available: home delivery starting at $27.99, a monthly digital subscription for $19.99, one article for $0.99, or a day pass for $1.99. On two separate days months apart, I bought day passes. I experienced no problems with the functioning of the website.
