Well, fast-forward a year later and I contacted the owner Robert to book the artist Silk again for…read moreour annual event - she was such a hit last year. Robert sent a quote that was higher than last year for the same services so I asked for an explanation on the increase. His response was very short but made sense that prices go up yearly for certain artists. So I replied just this past Friday that I wasn't sure about the price increase and wanted to think about it until Monday. Robert replied on Sunday and said "Sorry again, but I'm not feeling comfortable with this whole thing. Too much nonsense. Don't need it. Going to put Silk on another job. If you still want another artist at last year's cost, I can see who's available. If not, good luck." Well alright then! All because I had a question about the price increase? I'm also in the event industry and have referred Robert and his company to at least 50 of our own clients over the last year, so to be so unappreciated, and treated so unprofessionally + rudely was definitely a surprise. We loved the artist Silk last year and would love to have her at our event every year, but we will not be doing business with Robert ever again since he clearly doesn't not need our business or referrals.
