I have been a tenant for over 1yr now and it has been pretty good. I have not had any problems with any request they send them out pretty quickly. The only problem I had Is I was very sick one time when rent was due, my girls were out of town and I couldn't pay the rent by the 3rd. I would not recommend leasing any property from Tai or Ideal Realty Management. It was a complete nightmare speaking with him and trying to get anything fixed in the house we stayed in. The last draw was when we requested something be done about wind coming in through the house near the front door. I called to view a property. Tai answered meet me the next morning. I turned in my application with all documentation the next day and was approved the following day. The house did a few problems that were fixed within a timely manner. Aiko is amazing. She did my application and lease. She also deals with any and every issue with my rental. To start we love Akiko.... however... after being totally screwed out of our deposit it has left a sour taste in our mouths. We were charged $700 for an issue that was their fault in the first place (no drip pan on the second floor washer leading to leakage in the roof) that they were notified about several months prior and did nothing but place a pan. Now almost 6 months later we're the once being charged on the back end for them not being up to code in the first place? Make it make sense. read more

I rented a home through a realtor recommended to me by a friend and Ideal Realty turned out to be the management company for the property. Working with these people is a nightmare! Keep all of your receipts! I went in to pay the first months rent and kept my receipt of course. The next day I checked my phone at work to find I had several missed calls from them saying I didn't pay rent and there would be such and such fees. I called back and the woman (Joanne I believe) was very rude. Right when I told her I would happily bring in the receipt they wrote up for me to show I did pay, she quickly shut up and ended the call. These people are just shady. Last I checked, they had an F with the Better Business Bureau for failure to respond to customer complaints. Awful experience and so glad to be out of that property! read more

I will start this review by first stating that our experience with Ideal Realty started off great and "we" never had a problem with them at all. Whenever we had a issue "I" emailed them and it was promptly taken care of. I understand that Ideal Realty can only do as much as the owner of the property will allow and any communication between us and the owner is through them. With that being said, Aiko is a very snarky and unprofessional individual. I would not recommend doing business long term with this company if the level of customer service declines with time. She was nice and professional anytime me and the other occupant on the lease went in. Spoke to us both kindly. It wasn't until recently that my experience with Aiko turned sour. It was approaching the end of our lease with the owner so after speaking with the other occupant I called Aiko to ask a few questions regarding the renewal. (I called on 9/22 and the lease expires 10/1. I will also include we have renewed a few times before because we moved in Sept 2013.) It was unlike them to wait until the last minute, again something I know is mostly the owner. However it was the way in which Aiko spoke to me when I called that was the biggest turn off I have experienced. I have children living in that place and we were concerned what would happened. Instead of Aiko being understanding of our situation and calming things down, she stated that she spoke with the other occupant about this and that I should speak to him. I told her that I literally just got off the phone with him and he is the one that asked me to call. She said she only speaks with one occupant about things. WTF?! I told her that we are concerned because of the kids and since we never had this issue before we are not sure how these things worked. I further explained that if I am to re-sign the lease I needed to take time off of work as I work 2 jobs. I just needed Aiko to be understanding and help calm the fears we had but instead she was snarky and unprofessional even questioning if I actually just got off the phone with him. Like really?! After speaking with her and her insisting I speak with the other occupant, I called the other occupant and started explaining what had just happened when Aiko called him. Okay, so let me get this straight, you kept telling me to call him to get the information I was asking from you and you only gave me partial information but as soon as I told you that I was done with the conversation with you because I didn't like how you were speaking with me, you CALLED him and gave him the information? Then today, 9/27 we get the extension on our lease and you again are SNARKY and state: So before a lot of questions are asked or all kinds of assumptions are made, we do not know the reason why for only a 6 month extension. The question was asked and no answer was given. Aiko, as a reality check, you are the middle man between the owner and the occupant. If the occupant has questions, they are going to ask you. Which you are then responsible for asking the owner and then get back to us. And us means the people on the LEASE. Your response above is out of line (P.S. this is copy and pasted) and you really do owe an apology. read more

I'm glad that our lease is over cause this place of business is just atrocious.. I was just charged $600 cleaning fee for the most ridiculous things. I left the paint as it was when we moved out because I was told that some companies charge an obscene amount even just for a minor touch up, and this place is one of them. It was ok'd during signing to hang stuff up on the wall and to drill for curtain rods and such.. Nope was charged for that. We had the intention of signing another year or so lease with them. The only thing that really "broke the camel's back" was when they weren't gonna tell us that the house needed to be re-piped. If it wasn't for the state sending out a letter regarding the re-piping litigation, we wouldn't have had any idea about it. Of course Aiko knew about it. But what we got from her was "I meant to tell you sooner.." Really?! I'm sure if I keep going with the negative feedback, I wouldn't have anymore space.. But just know that if you sign with this shit company you will be fucked over one way or another! read more

I "USED" to have a property managed by them. For landlords that have properties under Ideal, please make sure you do a property inspection of your own at least every 6 months. I even signed up for yearly preventive maintenance of the property with them and oh boy, when our tenants moved out and I saw the property for myself, it was a nightmare! They told me that they cleaned the property. They lied. They thought I would not show up to look for myself. The worse part about Ideal is all they will tell you is that is part of wear and tear of a rental property. There is a difference between wear and tear vs. a house that is not in a condition that can be rented. I went and called their office to discuss and the property manager told me that she only works for the owner and cannot do anything about it. Are you kidding me? It took the BBB for them to respond and act on my concerns. In the end, there were items that I just let go because it is so difficult to talk to them. We contacted a realtor from this company to buy a property. There was no contract to sign from the realtor before we started. The realtor agent told us that the company is charging a $495 fees to hold documents for 5 years by the realty company (which we have never encountered in California or here in Nevada when we bought our other home). The only time we learned about this was during title signing when the title company informed us that we are being charged an additional fee. The realtor agent also was not very forth coming with the deal that she had with the builder. She told us that she was poorly compensated while the builder agent told us that she received the highest commission rate. read more

I have just finished my lease with them, and i will never return. The houses are nice, but are not cleaned, when we moved in we found several thumb tacs in all of the bedroom carpets, they had clearly not been cleaned or even vacuumed. Most of the light fittings were missing bulbs, and 2 of the rings on the cooker didn't work. The worst thing is paying the rent, you can't pay online, with cash or credit/debit card.. you have to pay them directly with a bankers check. We have used This property management for 2 years now. Initially we had some miscommunication problems that were frustrating. Since that time we have had an overall positive experience and even renew the lease one more year. Ideal reality was flexible and accommodating with the situation we were in which helped facilitate a speedier close of escrow. Even though they are not perfect we are happy that we chose a company that seeks to be fair and amicable with their clients whenever there is a problem. Aiko and his staff were great. I believe what tenants do not understand is that this is a property management and they do not own the houses they rent. If rent goes up, it's because the owners raised the rent. If you didn't get your deposit back its because the owners felt as though their property was damaged. They must come up with receipts for damages or clean up. I rented a house from this company for 6 years! I was never unhappy with how I was treated by Ideal. In fact, when the owners would not help me with the sprinkler systems that were old and broken, this management company went to bat for me. Every time I called for an issue Aiko would immediately get a repair person to correct the issue. They took care of me and my family. The only reason why we left, was because we outgrew the house. I spent a few months looking for a house within Ideals listings with no success. It goes both ways- we were good tenants as well- we were never late with rent in those 6 years... We received a portion of our deposit back- almost 700 which was fair in my opinion. I would definitely use this Company again. It's surprising to me that there are bad reviews here. Great job Ideal! This company is terrible. The lady in the office is a class A bitch and they try and screw you all the time. I paid rent through my bank and the second to last month they "lost" my check and charged me $110 in late fees, and gave me a 5-day notice. Then at move out I spend 4 days cleaning the house, cleaning the walls that my roommate scuffed up and every corner of the house. The only thing I didnt do was carpet cleaning but you have a non-refundable 250 cleaning fee which is understandable. well they charge me around 400 in cleaning. Lastly they altered the paperwork that I signed at the final walk through and charged me other BS charges. read more

This is the worst company to ever rent property from. They don't do shit for you if something breaks down. They do nothing but give you the run around. We been sitting in this house for a week with no air conditioner in the middle of August. It is a 103 inside the house. now get this after we complain about no air were being evicted. they sent a guy over today only to say that the air conditioner is old and it's not going to last. did it last didn't even last an hour.. now that we have a $2,000 deposit I'm sure they're going to keep it so he could fix his damn air conditioner go find some kind of reason. we moved in this house it was filthy dirty now that it's nice and clean and picked up because we made it look good we get evicted taking my money to fix her probably their fucking air conditioner whatever you do do not rent from this company they suck one day late you're paying a $200 late fee they really profit off your money I wouldn't even give one star but I had to be able to write anything about this company they deserve as minus 0. read more

By far one of the wrost companies I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Horrible customer servcice the front desk lately has a big mouth and insults her customers. And the company definetly scams you for your money. Please advice before investing your time and money with this company! I had a leak in my house and they made a "cheap repair" for the roof and the roof began leaking not even a month later. The house given to me with brokens blinds and microwave with promise of fixing it but nothing happened. This company will ever resolve anything only argue back with their customers. read more

Leasing from Ideal Realty and Property Management was the absolute best experience. After being home owners for over 20 years, I had heard horror stories about landlords etc. We got so lucky to find a property in the school district we wanted and thus came into contact with Ideal Realty. We meant to find a rental for a year and ended up loving the house, the property management and the landlord so much that we stayed for three years. Ideal, specifically Aiko in the office, was always super responsive on maintenance needs. In fact, she asked me each year to be sure and check that the a/c and heat were working prior to each season of needing them so we wouldn't be caught needing work done in an emergency. Aiko was a godsend in dealing with a very strict HOA and communicating quickly and efficiently to handle the correspondence with them. Their contracts are crystal clear and they keep everything in writing to protect both parties. I can't say enough about what a great experience this was when we needed a rental home.
