Although the majority of stock is high quality, I'm afraid this reflects on the prices. Personally I can't afford to buy much from the shop and I would think that most of their customers are well off, or have more money than brains. I did buy a wooden distressed calendar though which was in the sale, they still sell them now, which is about a fiver more than I paid. I will give Forsythe's a 4-star, mainly due to the fact that it is a nice shop and the staff are helpful.

I would personally choose to use this family run business with personal service over a B&Q any day of the week and at weekends too. You will probably find Sam behind the counter who will be happy to price match what ever you are looking for. The E&L superstore is liked by local electricians and is used by both trade and public.

I guess a lot of home lighting shops do this to try to sang a few impulse buys from people who come in to buy the lights, but I generally think the items they choose are a bit gaudy. Still, reasonable prices, and as always it's a great idea to support small, local businesses.

Unfortunately one of the lampshades - when I had unwound all the cellophane around it had a slight mark- so I got in touch with Grange West and within a couple of days a replacement shade arrived free of charge. What a fantastic shop. I wish they weren't the other side of the country to me as I would be in there every week.
