I went to Ideal Image after hearing the radio ads over and over with the thought that such an established business should automatically mean they have the best tools, people, and organization. I wouldn't say I was totally wrong on that based on my first visit. I will say, though, that by the time I saw them for a consultation, it was my ONLY consultation I had gotten from anywhere (for laser hair removal). I decided to move forward with a package with them, and after leaving the consultation, I really felt like I should still shop around a bit as the price felt very high and it was also supposedly on one of their big specials. After doing more research and finding other places with better reviews and better prices, I decided to schedule consultations elsewhere and move forward with another place. While I think the particularities of what you're looking for from a service - hours/availability, friendly, local/national, etc. may alter, I think it's overall important to do multiple consultations to find the best choice for you. Because Ideal Image is so nationally recognized, I would imagine their sales people could handle (at least appreciate) me doing my research. When I called to cancel with them, they did ask me to do a price match to keep my business. But, I felt as though I could've been offered their best price initially (not only as a paying customer but as customer who was getting a lot of areas). I felt like I was treated very rudely on the phone (the sales associate couldn't remember who I was and that her and I hadn't talked yet about my cancellation). Prior to speaking with her about my cancellation, I would've probably had a better review for them in terms of quality of service, availability of hours, and their accessibility (many locations). But, because of our conversation, I probably wouldn't recommend them anymore, as I myself will not be returning simply because of the two-sided service. The biggest disappointment was the price and sales. Didn't have much experience with the actual quality of tools and technicians. read more

Incredibly sweet people. The laser hair removal has made my life so much easier!! I don't even think about shaving, because I don't need to. Which is epic. The people here know their stuff. Not like other places, most of these ladies are nurses. So you feel safe. They also do their best to make (what is a decently painful procedure) LHR comfortable and easy. read more

Throughout my entire consultation they were caring professionals who patiently answered all of my questions and who discussed every possible scenario with me. Overall, I would say I had a very positive experience with Ideal Image. Everyone I dealt with was professional and made me feel comfortable. However, I do feel like it is expensive and I made a rash decision in the context of my initial consultation. I did like that I was able to get my first treatment on the day of my consultation however, and I like the online payment system. It was more uncomfortable than I imagined, but I didn't need any numbing cream or other analgesics other than some ibuprofen beforehand (if I remembered) and the aloe they provide. No one warned me that the intensity gets turned up over the course of several treatments until you reach the max, so subsequent treatments are sometimes more painful. I do feel like I had good results, but I have very dark and fairly coarse hair. I just finished my treatments about a month ago and do anticipate that at some point I will have hair grow back, but I'm glad there is the option to go in for additional treatments as needed for a reduced price. read more

Very friendly and knowledgeable! I had my free consultation for laser hair removal and the following day I went in for my first treatment. My nurse was Janelle and she walked me through everything and calmed my nerves. She made me very comfortable. I had my extended bikini line done and it was not painful at all, just very hot in some areas. The treatment took around 20-25 mins. I started my underarm hair removal in Madison WI. Love the staff at both locations and the financial consultant Jenni understands customer service. I am lucky Jenni came to Edina and I still have the opportunity to work with her. I get that the other reviews say it's expensive and their hair came back. However, they do tell you this before you begin your journey with them. It is not a surprise. The medical knowledge and fact you are getting a Registered Nurse each time makes me feel much more comfortable. I started I the bikini line but it wasn't taking well so I switch switched to my underarms. Despite the underarms traditionally costing more Jenni was able to make it so I paid the original price I signed up for. Yes you will have hair come back in but halfway through my 9 treatments I only have to shave once a month.. Maybe. I say it's worth it but don't jump in until you have the money. I went to Ideal Image for a Coolsculpt consultation. I am giving them a five for their honesty. I had previously gone to Edina Plastic Surgery for a consult, and they told me a I was a great candidate and they would be able to treat 6 areas for $3800. Ideal Image said I wasn't a candidate due to too little of fat and I would not be happy with my results. EPS is known for promising what they can't deliver, taking money and not giving results. With the honesty and integrity of Ideal Image, I will consider them for other treatments. read more

This was my second appointment for lazer hair removal here and I regret going back. Both appointments were a scam. The first appointment, I was sold hard on a membership. I just wanted a single session. I was treated disrespectfully because I only wanted one session. It was as though it was a failure for both me and the sales rep that I did not sign up for thousands of dollars of treatments on the spot. I chose other providers after this for my treatments on my terms. Years later, I decided to give it another try. I called and scheduled for a single maintenance session. When I arrived for my appointment, I paid and then updated my medical forms. After this, I learned from the nurse that I could not receive services as I had a mole removed, which was a risk, because it was melanoma. While I understand this policy, the crazy thing was that I could not be reimbursed for the payment I made that day without approval from supervisor who is offsite and approval with some process that will take 1-2 weeks. How is it that they can take payments on site that day, but cannot reimburse it without some formal offsite approval and this lengthy process in today's technology world? How is it that they take payments prior to reviewing updated records based on these policies? The organization is set up for its own financial benefits and not for customer needs. The staff this time was kind, but the organization behind it is flawed. read more

I bought a package for my underarms years ago. I have dark hair and light skin. Since the beginning I've lost 100% of my hair after every treatment. But a couple of months later it comes back. Now I've completed my 12 treatments and I still have significant amounts of hair (less dense overall), so much that I need to shave every single day. There are no hair-free areas. I was initially told that I would not have to pay extra, and was guaranteed at least 90% removal. Now they tell me I need to be reassessed every visit (which means growing out at least 1 weeks worth of hair, gross!!), and I have to pay every single time AT LEAST $40 per SESSION! I could just get a groupon or a get it waxed somewhere for that cost! These people spend way too much money on advertising and give you crap service. You definitely do NOT get what you pay for. read more

So, I could say a lot here..I have had a good experience and great staff every time I've gone in, the issue really is the price and how they advertise 90% gone- I don't feel as if they should conclude that for every person, it should be a client based assessment. It is outrageously expensive; I don't have a lot of money and I jumped in head first to this 3 years ago and am still paying it off, for my bikini and underarms (where i still get hair)...but they are nice, at least...must be paying for that too. read more

They approved me for the Coolsculpt and it did nothing at all what a scam, do not waste your money like I did , also the non evasive face lift what a laugh that was also, it hurt so much I was in tears begging her to stop and she did not, when done I looked liked someone tried to strangle me with the burses on my neck, ( no neck lift either), also two months later I ended up with a tumor on the left side of my neck. I had to have removed. the only thing I had done here that worked was the laser hair treatment, I am reading how they were honest with people telling them they were not a candidate for the Coolsculpt I wish they had been honest with me, I am still paying for something that did not work. read more

I went in for my first appointment for a botox consult. After hearing the girl talk about herself and how much money she spent on treatment herself she told me I could put a deposit down (even after I said I wanted to wait because I had some other expensive appointments coming up she kept saying I should just do the deposit) and then if I changed my mind I could get the deposit back. For financial reasons, I told her I changed my mind and wanted the deposit back. She ghosted me for 2 weeks, so I called the location. They told me I had to deal with her directly. After she FINALLY answered my email she told me she would work on it, it has been a week and there is still no refund. It is now past my credit cards 21 day grace period so I am being charged interest and she is back to not responding to my emails. Even if I decide I want botox down the road Ideal Image is NOT where I will spend my money. I really do not think I will ever see this money again which is just a pathetic way to run a business. read more

This place is horrible, they discriminate against women of color and are not truthful about anything. They take you money and make you promises and don't keep any of them. Don't dare have a problem it will not be handled professionally and you will never get a call back. I gave them $1285.00 Cash & did not schedule immediately because I was researching side affects of this procedure first after getting information from them, I was clearly told I could get my money back following day with no problem by Rebecca the consultant. Not only would they not return my money they threatened me, kicked me out, then locked the door after speaking to me like trash. The Manager Michelle was rude, racist, unprofessional and behaved like a Maniac Not a manager. I can't believe the treatment I received in this place after all the promises they made, along with all the reassurances they were continuously giving to get my money. I have been waiting for corporate and a regional manager to call me back for 4 days now after this incident they minus well have stuck me up for my money since I received no services and can't seem to get any communication at all. I will be taking them to court for more than my money, they have caused, anxiety, emotional & mental distress and they are holding a lot of money for no reason at all. Went in for my consultation Oct. 2013 and wanted my under arms, legs and bikini area done. Decided to go with all three and had my first appointment right then and there. They made me very comfortable and they were very professional and the result with one treatment is a great surprise...been over a week and I have not had to shave once where I had to shave daily. My only issue is the cost... it is VERY expensive even with my 70% off. Could buy a very nice used car for these nine treatments which total about 1/2 hour for all my treatments per session; so if you don't have money in your budget, I wouldn't even make an appointment for a consultation, but they do have financing so there is payment options but again that is a nice car payment a month for 2 years . Guess you could break it down and not have all three done...but I didn't want to go through a two year process three different times...wanted to get it all done in one shot. read more

I started going to Ideal Image in May 2014 and they are very unorganized and deceiving. First I told them that I wanted my lower abdominal treated but they started to treat me for the whole abdominal area and made me pay for it. Then, my card stopped working but they never notified me that it stopped working. So, I come into the office and they charge me &1,000.00. I never once got a call or anything to tell me there was something happening with my card. Nor did they tell me any of the five times that I got treated that my card was not working. Then they turn it on me and tell me it's my fault! The communication there is awful. Every appointment I went, I had to wait an extra half hour to get started because things needed to get figured out which should have been figured out before my appointment. I will NEVER go there again and I would never ever tell anyone I know to go there. My suggestion for anyone wanting laser hair removal is to go to a small independent business to get treated. They're nicer, more organized, less expensive, and probably more honest than Ideal Image will ever be. read more
