Not all of the Agents are bad, but this negative experience ended over 30 years of doing business with this company. I decided not to renew a State Farm rental policy for some rental property I sold to the tenant at a loss so he could be a first-time homeowner. State Farm "extended" the rental property policy without my approval. I just did not renew the policy since I no longer owned the property. I was under the impression that it is illegal to insure a house as the owner when you are not the owner of the property. Sounds like insurance fraud, but I am not a lawyer or law enforcement. Might as well insure all of the neighbor's homes and pay for the policies. Oh no State Farms quickly found a loophole and stated I had to inform them in writing that I was canceling the homeowner's policy. You mean I am not allowed to not renew the policy without sending you notice that I am not going to renew the policy? I will no longer do business with these types of people, or anyone associated with State Farm.
