First off, the studio is bright and colorful with beautiful wooden floors and plenty of mirrors. The pole fitness class is offered on the upper level, and has 4 poles readily available for the climbing ;) The class started with a much needed and thorough warm up stretch session, and next, our remarkable instructor, Rebekah, attentively and patiently showed us 3 to 4 ways to mount and swing on the pole. Her energy is so calm and ethereal, you'll walk out of there feeling on cloud 9. Point blank-Poling is hard (period!) it incorporates core, grip, upper body strength, and flexibility...and Im totally hooked...and Rebekah makes it look so effortless! Overall, i highly recommend Sway dance studio, as they mainly offer a variety of modern, latin, and standard dance (i.e. ballet, rumba, foxtrot, etc.)...but make sure to peak upstairs to also join Rebekah on her pole!
