First off, the salon is chic and adorable. They carry davines, Moroccan oil, bumble and bumble and I think another brand that I don't remember. They offer you a beverage and are more than welcoming. I'm so happy I found Sam! She did an amazing job fixing my brassy bleached hair and turning it into something I loved. I also liked how she explained everything she was doing which was awesome. She gave me a great cut and finished it with some good beachy waves. I would recommend her and the salon in a heartbeat! read more

They know how to make your dream hairstyle/color become a reality! They also give excellent customer service! Every time I walk in at Icon I am promptly greeted, asked how I can be helped, my coat is taken, and I am offered a drink! They even offer nail, facial, and massage services! I've had two facials now from Charity and there is no better way to relax and pamper yourself! Plus your skin feels great afterwards! I had a really great experience here today. It was my fist time here and everyone was helpful and answered any questions that I had. When I first walked in I checked in and I got to drink a cup of tea while waiting. The tea was good. Anyway I cut off a good chunk of hair and got one side shaved! My hairdresser was nice and talkative! When I got my hair washed I was in a massage chair! It felt really good on my back! Then when she styled my hair let me know which products to use! I ended up buying the products that I didn't have. Then she suggested I donate the hair which I did. It was a fun,friendly experience! 10/10 would go back! read more

I went there for a while with no problems until one day when I decided to do something a little different and I asked my stylist to give me pastel blue hair. During the lightening process, she left me alone fora long time with a bunch of chemicals and a heater on my head. My scalp started burning and the burning became painful and I started ducking out from under the heater, looking for her. Finally she came back, turned the heater off and started pulling the foils out of my hair. I watched in horror as what looked like clumps of my hair started coming out with the foils. I was sent home with white-orange blonde hair and told to return in a few days so she could put the blue dye in. Over the next couple days my hair was falling out at an alarming rate. I called the salon. I told them my hair was falling out, and the manager offered me a free conditioning treatment. This was a nice gesture. I returned a few days later to have it dyed blue. It turned out much darker than the picture. It was not pastel at all. It was more like technicolor urinal cake blue. It was like that for the next few months until it faded into the pastel color I had originally wanted. Its been a little more than a year since that happened and my hair hasn't been the same since. Possible the worst experience I've ever had at a salon. read more

I gave this place a second shot recently after having a bad experience the first time (bad haircut that had to be fixed but amazing color) and again.. I left disappointed. This time, I got my hair colored prior to my wedding (since I had a good color experience previously.. I thought everything would be ok. I was very wrong. I wanted a nice fall color with low lights and burgundy and a little blonde. I ended up blonde.. with about 10 different colors with some blended and some not blended. I can no long wear my hair straight. On top of it, my hair started breaking a few days after my color. OH! And also I got no style. I paid $110.00 for messed up color and for someone to blow dry my hair for me. I will NOT be back to give this place a third try. read more

What makes me upset about this salon THE most, I have never fully met the owner. Now from my understanding, she is still doing hair and doing her own clinets BUT because she is the owner, we are all her clients and she should be making some kind of effort to walk around and introduce herself. The times I've seen her busy, I understand. But being a business owner, it is HER duty to let people know she's there and that she cares. That doesn't come off from her AT ALL!!! She comes off rude, selfish..the list goes on. I've been a client there for many years, have brought many clients to her salon, MANY CLIENTS, and I have yet to talk to the lady. That's terrible. I have been around and have also been to many good salons. Have lots of friends that work as hair stylist. I just don't get this kind of behavior from an OWNER!! On that note, most of the other stylist are friendly! If I'm getting my hair done for a long time, I pick up other vibes from girls that aren't so friendly. I just recently found a salon that doesn't take 1232938439 steps to get to the final step with half of the damage so I'm going there. No more blow drying, flat ironing, teasing, curl iron. Went in to get my eyebrows waxed and was not impressed. The woman doing the waxing didnt even ask me how i liked my brows to look. Just started on her way, which is my fault too since I should of said something. Also ended up with wax in my hair (in the back of my head). Had to call and ask how to get it out. She was sorry about it, but wont be going back. Be weary of "Best of the Bay" promises. read more
