Just recently used the cafe as a means of convenience as time was short to go elsewhere…read more We found that on ordering we had to go through what we wanted 3 times to make sure the Lady understood..it was only a small order each for myself and my Wife..Which raised eyebrows initially, when the order was brought over only my Wife's order came I then had to wait for mine. Which was cold when it arrived. On reflection I noticed the another Lady operative was going round cleaning tables with one cloth ..no liquid and was wiping all and sundry. Hygiene doesn't seem to matter. Although we shop here every week this is definitely one part of the store we shall keep clear of. Not an experience we shall do again.

This store has recently benefited (personally, I preferred it before), from a huge refit, but there are never more than 3 tills open at 9 am and the queues are horrendous. The staff don't tend to open up more tills until customers are queuing 3 deep. It's very frustrating and ruins what otherwise can be a reasonable shopping experience.

It also sells electrical items, homewares, toys , cds etc. I enjoy shopping here as there is plenty of room around the aisles. The range of clothing is excellent and very reasonably priced and seem to be of good quality. The food is also of good quality and there are usually some sort of weekly offers on various items around the store. My only disappointment is the frozen food. There doesn't seem to be a very big range and the prices are a bit expensive. There is also a cafe which sells hot and cold drinks, hot and cold food and childrens meals.

The attention to detail in the cleaning process is extremely high--dusting and sanitizing all the small crevices. The lady who hoovers that mat everyday makes me smile every morning warm welcome she gives talks to everyone who comes through so its time now to praise those people well done.

It sells the same as most supermarkets: Fruit and vegetables, Alcohol, sweets, frozen food and lots more. The shop itself is quite big so there is plenty of room to move around. Everything is well organised and easy to find. In the summer they normally have displays outside with strawberries on which I normally see and then end up buying some. The prices in there are average and the staff are all really friendly and helpful.
