From Google Maps I was not sure what to expect. This area of town looks older. But I was so impressed when we walked in. This hotel looks brand new. The design is contemporary but comfortable - the downstairs seems more like a cool coffee shop than a hotel lobby.
Each room is uniquely painted with cartoon (but tasteful) art painted right onto the walls. Seems like the floors have different artistic themes.
The check in desk is very informal, just a small round table, and everything is done via mobile device. There is a small bar open 24 hrs and largish area for eating breakfast. I did not see a place to fill up water in our water bottle like the other Ibis Styles in Stockholm, but the bartender filled it up for us.
Room is very comfortable, spacious for European standards, and clean ... honestly it looks like it's barely been used.
The nightly rate was about half what it would have been closer to downtown and included breakfast. I will update with choices when we have it! From the other Ibis Styles it should be spectacular.
It also included free public transportation passes for all the days we were here. What a deal!
We checked Yelp for restaurants but it seems this is not a yelping town - walking around, there are so many options for food right nearby. We found a very nice Indian restaurant not far away.
The bed is comfortable. The only thing keeping me from enjoying it more so far is jet lag . read more
