I'm so glad this location exists! I've been wanting to try a good, quality sushi burrito for a long time. They're not very common in this area and those that I've saw haven't appealed to me. I saw a local blogger rave about their build your own sushi burrito a couple weeks ago and I knew I had to try it. I was able to place my order online with breeze, and picked up in store with no issues. Let me just say that this burrito was solid and very filling. It had the perfect ratio of rice, protein and add-ons. It held together really well and didn't crumble apart immediately. The texture was better than I imagined and it tasted absolutely amazing! It was a bit pricey because of the double protein ($11 for each protein). I spent $20+ for this particular combination, but it did not disappoint. I look forward to returning to try their teriyaki and build your own poke bowls.

California Roll with ginger and Wasabi

Well I'm updating my review. The food this time wasn't bad even though I got white rice even though I ordered fried rice. Not amazing, but it had a nice flavor. I had one of the bowls with beef and California Roll. The bowl was pretty good. The Wasabi and ginger were good on the California Roll. The roll itself was a bit soggy. It had been premade so that was to be expected. I try them again right before closing and see if they have improved.

I have to give ILSE more love because I went back, well, friend ordered & agreed to pay so I took a chance. I have to say ILSE is absolutely winning the Poké war right now. Bowl compared to Oshi (very rude people) & Aki (throw up action) is very on point, more fresh, closer to Poké in Hawaii & the city where bowls are loaded... ILSE may not have as many toppings but it's working in their favor because they're maintaining it well. Other good points ILSE: 1.They do not argue with customers 2. Bowls are full 4. Customization/ Build your own is substantial & typically fresh 5. I haven't seen any up charges for extra veggies or toppings and we do check our receipts 6. They deliver for about $.99 from the Hub. OSHI CHARGES $6.99 for delivery no matter what= Math Done! And they act like they want a street fight if you ask for extra anything. We vote ILSE for good Poké

Overall: Easy to reach location near Trash Panda Stadium. Great food, friendly service, process on par with others sushi places, poke bowls and teriyaki bowls Should you go: Absolutely Review: We got there for dinner and I was pleasantly surprised. It was nice in the inside with lots of seating and friendly service. Is a fast casual place where you pick your food first, they make it and then you pay at the end of the counter. We had the Hawaiian Classic and Yuzi Salmon PoKe bowls and they were both delicious. We went all out and had sushi also and the Miso to try it all. It was all delicious. Everything was fresh and portions were good. Pro: - Great food - Miso machine (automatically dispensers) Con: - None Fat Boy thumbs up here!

I love stopping by I Love Sushi Express in Town Madison for a quick meal. I love that you can build your own sushirrito, poke bowl, poke salad, or Donburi bowl. The ingredients are always fresh and always delicious. They also have grab and go sushi rolls. Great food and service every time!

Sushi tastes exactly like the sit down restaurant version. I really enjoy stopping by here for lunch or on my way home from work. Grab-n-go sushi is always stocked and nothing has ever tasted old or like it had been sitting out for a long time. I just wish the prices weren't so high for a counter service place - I'll keep doing back though.

The I Love Sushi Express off Zierdt is by far one of the best sushi restaurants in the Huntsville area. Fantastic food, awesome staff and fun, clean environment. Gluten-free options available. Highly recommend the sushi burritos. Will be frequenting this location

Ordered a poke bowl which was yummy but the service was almost awful, the lady building my bowl was very impatient with me.

The only thing I didn't like was the Thai fried rice. Well it was average. It was missing something, The crab rangoon was probably some of the best I ever had. My mother loved her drunken noodles so that was a plus.

I decided I'd give this restaurant a try a few weeks ago after seeing all the positive reviews…read more As others have mentioned, this restaurant is attached to a Best Western hotel. To be honest, I usually have very low expectations of "hotel restaurants," but I will say Banana Leaves exceeded those. If I were staying at a hotel and this was my option for dining, I wouldn't be mad. However, I also don't think this would be my first choice for an Asian-influenced dining experience. They have dishes from a lot of different Asian countries on the menu, though I'd say it leans most heavily Thai or Malaysian, with room for Japanese sushi. The menu isn't overwhelmingly large but it is quite varied. It was fairly quiet when I visited in the middle of the day on March 4. A few other diners trickled in while I ate. Service was suuuuper sweet. Kind, respectful, and diligent. I did go a little while between finishing my meal and getting a check, but I think she was trying to be respectful of me finishing up my food. I wasn't finishing it because I didn't really care for it, but that wasn't my waitress' fault. She even brought out a few small pieces of fruit for dessert as well as a box for my meal. Very thoughtful. I decided to order one of their lunch specials as that was the most cost effective option. I selected the Thai Basil Chicken. It comes with white rice, a salad, a spring roll, and a cup of soup. I also got a Thai iced tea to drink because I can never resist those. The Thai tea was very pretty. It was not particularly sweet and had a fairly strong almost vanilla-like flavor. I do prefer mine on the sweeter side personally, but it wasn't bad. I was warned that the Thai Basil chicken would be spicy but I really didn't find it spicy at all except when I ate an actual piece of chili. Then, it was pleasantly warming but nothing crazy. The vegetables still had a nice snap but for me I thought the chicken was rubbery and I really didn't like the texture of it. I mostly ate veggies and rolled my nicely cooked white rice around in the sauce. Disappointed in the chicken. The spring roll was fine -- exactly as you'd expect. I didn't realize there was a small divot in the dish that held the sweet and sour dipping sauce until it was basically too late. Oh well. The salad was plain but I enjoyed the typical Japanese style gingery dressing. I was somewhat pleasantly surprised to see the soup was a wonton soup. That was nice and I enjoyed trying it though I ultimately found the wontons to be rather bland. Idk, 3 stars sounds a little harsh but 4 is too generous. I think that the idea is really there but just a few too things missed the mark for me on the execution level. If I were to return, I'd like to try some of their Malaysian dishes, as there aren't a ton of places around Huntsville that serves that cuisine. I appreciate the kind and polite service and calm atmosphere.

First, I judge Thai places on their ability to make a good Pad Thai... call it unfair, but that's what I do. Their version is seasoned (I got it spicy, they delivered without burning my whole body out; but I did have a decent sweat on me) and not oily at all. It's the perfect blend of taste without creating an oil slick in your mouth. Lunch came with soup, a small side salad, and Thai spring rolls for under $14. That's value to me, for the price of what fast food places nearly cost and getting a legit full meal that is worlds better than some greasy fast food is another sign to me that there is something special here. The staff was friendly, prompt, and courteous. It may look like a hole in the wall or not overly fancy... because it is not. It is clean, well kept, and has decor that matches the theme. It's not trying to be something that it isn't. The focus is on the food and ensuring people enjoy the food and experience if you are dining in. I will be back. I will get the Pad Thai again. I hope it's just as good or even better than the first time. This is definitely not a one and done kind of place for how good the food is and the prices.

While its a little pricey for the sandwich combo (closer to food trucks prices), I was full when I got done and it tasted excellent. My buddy who recommended the place was a big fan of the loaded potato and it seems like a much cheaper meal if you're on a budget. With regard to purchasing a ham for the holidays, the price for their ham was $1-6 cheaper per pound than the Honeybaked Ham Company. Ham tasted comparable.
