Hands down one of my favorite spots! I love 'I love sushi" and was beyond thrilled with having an express in the area! I get the veggie rice and spring roll and I am pleased every single time!

I'm so glad this location exists! I've been wanting to try a good, quality sushi burrito for a long time. They're not very common in this area and those that I've saw haven't appealed to me. I saw a local blogger rave about their build your own sushi burrito a couple weeks ago and I knew I had to try it. I was able to place my order online with breeze, and picked up in store with no issues. Let me just say that this burrito was solid and very filling. It had the perfect ratio of rice, protein and add-ons. It held together really well and didn't crumble apart immediately. The texture was better than I imagined and it tasted absolutely amazing! It was a bit pricey because of the double protein ($11 for each protein). I spent $20+ for this particular combination, but it did not disappoint. I look forward to returning to try their teriyaki and build your own poke bowls.

Overall: Easy to reach location near Trash Panda Stadium. Great food, friendly service, process on par with others sushi places, poke bowls and teriyaki bowls Should you go: Absolutely Review: We got there for dinner and I was pleasantly surprised. It was nice in the inside with lots of seating and friendly service. Is a fast casual place where you pick your food first, they make it and then you pay at the end of the counter. We had the Hawaiian Classic and Yuzi Salmon PoKe bowls and they were both delicious. We went all out and had sushi also and the Miso to try it all. It was all delicious. Everything was fresh and portions were good. Pro: - Great food - Miso machine (automatically dispensers) Con: - None Fat Boy thumbs up here!

Well I'm updating my review. The food this time wasn't bad even though I got white rice even though I ordered fried rice. Not amazing, but it had a nice flavor. I had one of the bowls with beef and California Roll. The bowl was pretty good. The Wasabi and ginger were good on the California Roll. The roll itself was a bit soggy. It had been premade so that was to be expected. I try them again right before closing and see if they have improved.

I have to give ILSE more love because I went back, well, friend ordered & agreed to pay so I took a chance. I have to say ILSE is absolutely winning the Poké war right now. Bowl compared to Oshi (very rude people) & Aki (throw up action) is very on point, more fresh, closer to Poké in Hawaii & the city where bowls are loaded... ILSE may not have as many toppings but it's working in their favor because they're maintaining it well. Other good points ILSE: 1.They do not argue with customers 2. Bowls are full 4. Customization/ Build your own is substantial & typically fresh 5. I haven't seen any up charges for extra veggies or toppings and we do check our receipts 6. They deliver for about $.99 from the Hub. OSHI CHARGES $6.99 for delivery no matter what= Math Done! And they act like they want a street fight if you ask for extra anything. We vote ILSE for good Poké

I love stopping by I Love Sushi Express in Town Madison for a quick meal. I love that you can build your own sushirrito, poke bowl, poke salad, or Donburi bowl. The ingredients are always fresh and always delicious. They also have grab and go sushi rolls. Great food and service every time!

Sushi tastes exactly like the sit down restaurant version. I really enjoy stopping by here for lunch or on my way home from work. Grab-n-go sushi is always stocked and nothing has ever tasted old or like it had been sitting out for a long time. I just wish the prices weren't so high for a counter service place - I'll keep doing back though.

We'd never heard of it and having recently returned from the gulf I was feeling rather smug about seafood. What could this Chuck know about it all? Feeling adventurous, we decided to walk over and check it out after eating an entire pizza. Pizza was pretty good. Chuck's Fish was epic. I love that there's no TV at the bar. I love the decor. I love the fact that the namesake was a civil rights attorney. I love the fact that I can get incredible sashimi and order our daughter a pizza that is just as good as the joint across the street. Chuck I apologize. I promised the bar staff I'd Yelp you up after the first visit but once bitten twice shy so I gave it another go. I'm at your bar now. Trudy is helping me out. She's a pro. The decor in here is absolutely beautiful. Our server Stephanie was the sweetest ever. She gave us recommendations and helped us navigate choices on the menu. I opted for a glass of their rosé while he got their old fashioned, wasn't his favorite since they did not have Buffalo Trace. He's not a fan of Bulleit. However he was alright with it. We got the Cowboy sushi roll and snapper necks as appetizers. Both very flavorful and cooked well. Having Louisiana hot sauce was the icing on the cake for him. Entrees we got were both mainly red snapper, he got it Parmesan crusted and I went for bronzed because it came with mango salsa over rice pilaf. He had risotto. Both dishes were very good, however they definitely could have benefited from a bit more salt (in our opinion). Green beans were cooked extremely well. We both cleaned our plates! As for desserts I went for the bread pudding and he opted for the creme brûlée since he had never had any. Bread pudding was absolutely immaculate and I'm glad Steph talked me into adding ice cream. He wished he had gotten my dessert after trying it but his creme brûlée was still pretty decent. Not a big custard guy. Overall this was a great experience and to help others gauge their bill, we spend a little under $200 before the tip. Not extremely cheap but not overly expensive. We just like trying it all - drinks, apps, entrees and desserts. Would love to come back soon!

People started mentioning Miso Happy to me a solid year and a half before I finally went. Then it was a... Tsunami. I've always brought no less than 4 people and thrice now there's been groups of teens on tatami mats and gallons of boba. I think what makes Miso Happy is it's ability to be approachable but also fairly authentic in its offerings. This building was... something else. This restaurant used to be called Edo, like the old world Japanese capital and a ton of American Japanese steakhouse across the nation. It looks like a traditional sukiya-zukuri which really has a casual but refined "vibe"... Great for friends and family alike. If you have a group, there's tatami and seiza setting --be advised: drop your shoes and your butt closer to the floor. There's also an embrace of this anime wave as Totoro motif that somehow fits. The staff is inviting and works to accommodate changes as they come up. Now I haven't tried every sushi roll in the place yet but it's reliably fresh and tasty. There's no euphoric or transcendent experience to be had as far as I've experienced BUT... They don't miss, either. There's also donburi and hibachi, bento boxes and lots of "comfortable" dishes to make everybody feel at home. And then there's the ramen. It's among the best in Huntsville... and that's considering even some favorite ramenya in town like Kamado and new comers like Kyuramen. The broths are distinguishable, deeply flavored and has something for just about everyone: shoyu, tonkatsu, beef and veggje/miso options in deep tetsu bowls with a really nice aesthetic. I tried the big wave poke bowl last time and they're also satisfying... Further pushing the idea that Miso Happy is a great Japanese generalist in town. The exterior alone is adorable! A traditional Japanese building with little figurines and even a large Totoro in the garden. It felt whimsical and nostalgic. I was seated right away and the staff were incredibly kind and attentive, checking in without being intrusive. The owner even stopped by each table to make sure everything was perfect but didn't linger too long. I started with the takoyaki, and it was one of the best I've ever had. Crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, and the octopus was tender. The sauce and bonito flakes were just the right amount. For my entree, I ordered the curry chicken katsu lunch special, which comes with a soup or salad. I chose the miso soup since it was cold out and it was absolutely the right choice. The katsu was perfectly crispy and paired beautifully with the rich Japanese curry. I especially loved the big pieces of mushrooms and onions in the curry. Before heading out, I ordered a lychee green tea with boba and lychee jelly to go. The boba was perfect and didn't get tough sitting in the cold drink like some places. 10/10 would go back and would recommend to anyone who is looking for an authentic and fun Japanese restaurant.

The presentation was beautiful, and they were still very enjoyable. The real star of the meal was the eel avocado sushi taco. I originally ordered two and immediately wished I had ordered more. The beef bulgogi that I cooked was okay... I've had better elsewhere, but maybe that's because I'm not a very good cook and may have grilled it too long. The lemon chicken was also ok, but I probably cooked too long and I only ate a couple of pieces because server warned me I should use scissors to cut chicken to make sure it gets cooked enough inside, and, well... I got to feeling anxious about if I was undercooking or overcooking it, so I gave up. The salad was meh, and I didn't like the look of the cucumbers (they looked brownish, not fresh) so left them untouched. At first, I thought the restaurant itself looked nice... but then I noticed that the tables and floors were not the cleanest, and walking back to the restrooms, I passed a kitchen or prep area that had several puddles of water on the floor. It did not help me feel comfortable. It's a large restaurant, but there were only a few patrons inside during the height of rush hour. I should have been more observant before I sat down. Overall, I really wanted to like the place and a positive is that the Korean music videos on the TVs were very enjoyable, but unfortunately once I got to feeling "ick", I just couldn't shake that feeling.
