Damn I wanted to be the first to write about this place! It's amazing - for one I love jewelery, as…read morewell as loving expensive yet different designs. I was walking past this place after popping into Candy Cake after having a ladies lunch (god I hate myself!) and was stopped by the twinkle of gold in the shop window.... I rang the little buzzer almost too excited to breathe as I browsed the clear cabinets and gazed lovingly at the delicate style of the jewelery that can only be bought by someone who really cares. This is no Elizabeth Duke rubbish, this is classic, individual style - I want it all (can someone please tell my boyfriend)!

Laura Lee Jewellery is understatedly elegant, the kind of jewellery that you can wear with absolutely anything from casual everyday attire to a dressed up LBD. Prices generally start at £100 with some pieces slightly less, but all the materials used are of the very highest quality and the shop is stunning.

This is the perfect shop if you're looking for a special present but don't have the enormous budget…read morerequired to buy diamonds or gold at Tiffany. You'll find lots of less expensive (although not cheap) silver stuff, that you won't find in other shops making a great individual buy. Run by a husband and wife team, the jewellery has the requisite romantic touches to make a great anniversary present and enough variety of design to be suitable for women of all ages. Sweet little pendants and simplified charm-style bracelets are particulalry popular. You can also guarantee that everything will be nicely boxed up and wrapped to make a really stylish gift.

**June 2022: Late Afternoon Friday Visit**…read more My friend and I were walking down Monmouth St. and I was enamored by the beautiful window display. The jewelry were bright and bold and evoke such Betsey Johnson vibes except with an emphasis on acrylic as their creative medium. We entered the store and oh my goodness everything was so eye catching - both in terms of designs as well as color palette. If you're a gal (or guy) who loves subdue understated jewelry this isn't the shop for you, as everything is extremely playful and witty. There were multiple items I wanted to purchase; however, the pricepoint is much higher than what I am use to; yet, you can think of it as paying for the design, and the fact that it's handmade by UK individuals. The smaller designs range in the £50 - £150 whereas the really stunning statement pieces around £200-£400. The extremely orange pieces can go up to £500+ I ended up getting a really beautiful blue parrot statement necklace that I'm sure would be a head turner. Can't wait to see more of their beautiful collection!

Taking a weekend stroll through pretty Pimlico side streets, I chanced upon this lovely jewellery…read moreshowcase. The shop is dedicated to promoting a range of creations from individual designers. Items are beautifully and practically displayed in large, practical flat glass units. It's a gorgeous and enticing place to have a leisurely browse; like me, you're bound to be tempted by many pretty things: rings, brooches, earrings, bracelets, pendants - a veritable magpie's delight. Prices range - widely - according to the item, designer and materials used. I liked the fact that I was 'allowed' to explore freely and un-pushy help was offered when I asked for information. I also especially appreciated the fact that it's possible to design and get your own creation made-up here - particularly useful if you have a very distinct idea in mind and can't find exactly what you're looking for, or if - like me - you want to replace a single lost earring (part of a favourite pair).
Omnia causa fiunt! It means everything happens for a reason in Latin. I did not know this gallery…read moreexisted even though I passed this street for the nth time. The bus stop outside Pimlico station was not in use on that day. I had to walk to my hairdresser's which is located about 5-10 minutes from the station. On my way back to Pimlico station I somehow felt that I had to go into this shop. Firstly I checked that it was opened and there was someone in the shop. The shop assistant greeted me when I entered the shop. The shop displays works from independent designers with contrasting styles and concepts. Seriously. I was looking through some very peculiar jewellery works when the shop assistant interrupted to ask me if I needed help. I said, "No. I am just looking around and I will get you if I need any help." That was my way of getting some peaceful and enjoyable browsing. After a while of deafening silence except for the background music, the shop assistant started talking to me when I was looking at the felt works of Rose Revitt, http://roserevitt.blogspot.co.uk/ He then showed me the rabbit's @$$ felt brooch by Rose Revitt. It is an interesting idea of wearing a rabbit's @$$ as a brooch. I would definitely wear it when I am not working. I always talk to strangers and it is very natural for people to tell me about themselves. The shop assistant turned out to be a jewellery designer, Leonid Dementiev. His website is http://www.dementievleonid.com/ He showed me his works which were also on display in the shop. His rings and earrings designs were inspired by the waves. They were simple and unique. There were also works on display at the counter. It was there that I found something familiar that I once lost...It was a necklace with a pendant made from a bottle cap. The pendant has the painting of the Cherubs from Raphael's Sistine Madonna. I bought the necklace costing about £30. I once had a magnet of the Cherubs but I lost it when I moved. After so many years, I only saw the Cherubs again last year, in my accommodation in Venice, Italy. I believe that seeing the Cherubs was a sign of something good. Perhaps it will reveal itself to me in time...

I've not actually purchased jewelry here, but had a bracelet fixed here…read more It's a small chain, but fit perfectly around my mirco tiny wrists. The only bracelet that has been bought for me that has ever fit. So when it broke, I had to have it mended. It holds a lot of sentimental value to me. So I took it to them, based on a good review on another site. And yep, their expensive. But i'll pay for quality. I don't mind. So dropped it off to be fixed. Took them ages! 2.5 months to fix this bracelet. But that's not my complaint. My complaint is that the bracelet came back to me 2 sizes to big. I have no idea when they made it so much larger. I quuestioned that when I picked it up, but they said "it's written down here as the origional size". Can't argue with that, but unless I gone anorexic, and lost weight in my wrist, or they messed up! Needless to say... due to my now large bracelet, 4 days later if fell off my wrist and broke. ARG!

It is no H Samuel store, more of a store that have been around for many years. Inside the store you will find two older guys doing the works and selling as they go along. Whilst I was there I saw a lot of people coming into the store to get their watches repaired so I get the impression that they repair more than what they sell. The staff members were very helpful and friendly which is a real plus these days. They can help you with almost anything you ask of them. I'd definately recommend them, support local businesses for sure! Oh, they do accept debit / credit cards, always a plus!

The second was to get a spring bar and the owner just had the worst attitude towards me, refused to help unless I left my watch there. He couldn't even let me have a quick look at the millions of spring bars that he teased me with his arrogance. I don't think I have ever been into a business where the owner dangles what I want in my face and then refuses to help unless I leave my watch there.....makes you think what they want to do with my watch?? Anyway I will never walk in there in my life as it was a horrible experience and what irritates me the most is that I'm all for supporting independent businesses and not these high street guys but if they act like that I have no choice to go there. I personally would have been much nicer and assisted my customers to make them happy, he did the total opposite Shocked (never to return) customer
