100% would not recommend this guy. Ive been in significant pain for the last few weeks, my acupuncturist is out of town until January so I needed help asap. When I got to his office he took me into the room and asked where my pain was. Once I laid down he started pushing down on my neck asking if there was pain. I told him it hurt because he was pushing so hard and not because of my issue. He never touched the area where I was experiencing pain. He then inserted needles causing tremendous pain and discomfort. He wouldn't listen to my screms of pain. He said he does acupuncture like no one ive seen before. I can see why. He plugged me into a machine that gave electric pulses to the inserted needle which was painful and uncomfortable. He left me for maybe 20 minutes. When he returned he asked how I was doing and I said not good. I was in more pain that when I arrived. My legs felt weak and i was dizzy. He tried to say that it was hard to treat me because of my size. Im not a extremely large person. Ive had successful treatment at a few other locations, so his excuse is just an excuse. He said since my insurance didnt cover acupuncture it was going to be 70.00. He really expected me to pay for the pain of his treatment. No way. He asked me to leave and I did without hesitating. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND MY WORST ENEMY TO THIS PLACE. I cant believe anyone would find relief here. read more

I am a true believer in I Ching Acupuncture Center. I had went to see my primary care physician, and they just wanted to give me Tylenol. The pain in my neck and the back of my head was so bad. This was the worst pain I had ever been in. I could not turn my head. I could not fall asleep. It took me a half hour to get out of bed. I was recommended by a friend to see Dr. Chen. I wish I would have seen Dr. Chen sooner. I am terrified of needles, but it was not like I thought it would be. In a few visits the pain was gone. I had injured my left wrist and I was provided with a list of acupuncture providers by my insurance company, and I tried this clinic. I came here and no interview at all as far as my injury history, more so, no question about my left wrist pain level, intensity, and duration. I was only asked "where is the pain?", then he led me to the room to sit, then the acupuncturist was abrupt and quite hasty when inserting the needles, with no explanation of the procedures to be done, expectations and did not discuss the treatment plan, and all he said was to come every day for the next 2 weeks and he will see from there. I had 4 sessions in this clinic and every time I come, I was nervous. The 3rd session was the worst when he poked 3 needles on the back of my neck and the first poke was very painful that I cried and he said, next time he will not go deeper and "it was an accident" he said. It was so painful and uncomfortable! The needles pulsated on my right shoulder/arm, and I was so uneasy and in an awful situation, didn't check up on me until it was over. After the session, my right shoulder/arm/hand became sore (note: my condition is on my left wrist). I was not able to sleep that night due to pain on the right shoulder/arm/hand. I still went the next day and I told him about what I am experiencing, and he said the pain traveled to the other side and when he inserts the needle, he would not know what side would be involved. He was not certain of what he was doing! My other 3 sessions, he poked me on my right lateral ankle using 2-3 needles and I asked him that the pain is on my left wrist/arm and why I am being poked on my right ankle and he just said, "it's meridian" which he did not explain further. He did a process of electrical shock, and I had no relief for 4 sessions. I really cried and I won't be coming back! Being a patient experiencing pain and discomfort, all I need is for him to be compassionate and transparent, to share as much as possible, and to educate his patients his success rate and the risks involved with the procedures he is performing. Uncertainty is okay, as long as patients are aware of the truth. I understand that he is human, too, and that inaccuracies do occur, so at least a word of assurance that he would fix his miscalculations would be fair enough. read more

I started going to Dr. Chen five years ago. He first treated sciatic pain and had it gone in a few visits. I have continued going for pain and injuries I had. He was able to take care of anything. I recently went with a pulled muscle in my back, and when I got up from the table my pain was gone. He is a miracle worker. I recommend him. It really works. read more

I was living with frustrating pain for a couple of months in my lower back (sciatica nerve) I was hurting bad and couldn't walk for a couple of weeks. A friend suggested acupuncture for pain management, I found Dr. Chen on yelp and after consulting with him he assured me pain relief after a number of treatments and sure enough after a few visits I started feeling better and walking better too. I even skipped out of there one time, but most importantly, I was able to get back to my life, my job, and be myself again. I had been to another place in Diamond Bar about 5 times and loved it, but couldn't make the drive due to time restraints. I came here and it was so painful and uncomfortable. I have sciatica and they had my lay on my stomach with a pillow underneath, and pillow under feet. Didn't explain anything. The needles pulsated and was so uncomfortable and painful, didn't check up on me until it was over. Then told me I could be healed in 12 visits coming every day or three times a week. $60-100 later and feeling no relief, I wanted to cry. Won't be coming back. read more

Went there for a recommended 10 sessions and after 8 did not see any results. The people are very nice, but did not work for me. Dr seemed to be a bit hasty with the needles. Made me really nervous. This a long awaited review. I was in so much pain from my sciatic nerve pain last year. I was on pain pills, using the Lidocaine patch and a appointment for the Lumbar injection after weeks of therapy. Went to I Ching in October because I had a trip to Europe planned in late Nov. He told me I would be well in 12 daily treatments. Well, it took 16, but I went on vacation pain free, even after a 10 hour flight. I remain pain free except for 2 follow up maintenance appointment. It was pricy and took 16 sessions, but he has given me my life back to go about my normal routine. I would do it again if needed. I wrote a review in September 2015, I am writing a follow up review. My last treatment was in October 2015 and I am Sciatica pain free. I can stand, sit, walk and roll over in bed without pain. It took 12 sessions but it worked. I now know that there is an alternative to surgery that relieves lower back problems and everything that comes with it.
