Float like a butterfly and sting like a bee. The mural consist of a pair of boxing gloves with its angel halo (I assume created shortly after ali passing) and the left wing being a butterfly wing and the right wing being a bee wing. Very cool and unique. While the mural never mentions Ali name or the phrase or is obvious what the message is by the creative use of symbolism. Overall a great piece and while it's not very large and kinda hard to spot on the side of a building it may be one of my new favorite pieces because of the creativity.

Painted on the wall of the Rabbit Hole Distillery that overlooks the parking lot is a brightly…read morecolored mural depicting six scenes from Alice in Wonderland (or if one wants to be technically correct, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland). The six scenes are: the hookah smoking caterpillar; Alice holding her cat, with the Cheshire Cat in the background; the Queen of Hearts' frog servants; the Queen of Hearts; the Mad Hatter; and the White Rabbit. Nulu is stocked full of awesome and beautiful public art works. Thai Alice and wonderland rendering has added to that. So detailed, specific and well done. Everytime I walk by it I notice a detail that I haven't before. Overall a beautiful and wonderfully done piece of public art. I can see it becoming a favorite of many inside the city.

A bunch of twisted piping that at the beginning of it says the words "Louisville". I'm not sure the purpose or what it represents and after the words Lousiville it's kinda a mess and hard to determine what the design is. Overall it's still a unique piece to the city and kinda cool. In a weird spot so I'm not sure how much exposure it gets as the one way street people usually have merged on the expressway before hitting the underpass.

Intended to draw more visitors to this part of Louisville, this orange colored artwork is a series of tubes and lines. Literally, a knot that stretches about 165 feet. The moral itself features musical instruments such as an electric guitar and musical notes with darker shades of black purple and blue. They also have some strong fairy lights at the top of the alley to give it a really nice and relaxing atmosphere. Overall a really cool and somewhat hidden area with a nice mural and a visually pleasing setup.

Not sure why it is called the weird as it features a few bites and things. Maybe a play off an old Louisvilel saying that I believe originated form a highlands business that said "keep Louisville weird". Overall a great piece and very fun piece that makes for a great photo op. I was able to pull out a good old fashioned dad joke when I told my oldest daughter to go stand by the words over there and be weird. So score one cringe dad point for this guy.

The sculpture is one of my favorites in the city. The he togetherness and look of the sculpture just resonates with me. Simple look but awesomely done. Overall a great piece of public art and very fitting for a west end neighborhood that's had more downs than ups. Community and togetherness is more important in times of need for sure.

I…read morelove street art, and this Shine Bright mural is a great example of the public art you might come across while you're in downtown Louisville. Louisville has a lot of public art, which is nice to see. Shine Bright is located across the street from the Frazier History Museum, under a bridge, in a seedy-looking area. Of course, my children and I headed straight toward it, because there's also a large "Louisville" metal sculpture by this mural, and my children wanted to climb on it. I looked to see if there was a signature scrawled somewhere on the mural, or some information telling us about the artwork, but I couldn't find anything. Internet searches proved fruitless, too. So I have no idea the meaning behind the Shine Bright mural, nor do I know who created it. So sorry. I just know it's cool and located in a cool place.

Shine bright mural is very ironically brightly colored and positive message public art mural in the…read moredowntown Lousiville section just off of museum row. You will find this piece sandwiched between a few pieces of public art to the left of these one way road. It sits directly next to the sculpture the Lousiville knot. If you look to one direction you can still see the world largest bay from Louisville Slugger. If you look the other direction you see the world largest vampire bat hanging off the building of caufields. The mural is tagged with an artist of slugger city. I am not familiar with the work of them and from my recollection this is the only piece of there I have seen. But they did a really good job and I like the baby blue use color in the shine bright wording along with the cardinal to the left that pays tribute to the cities official bird. Overall really cool piece that sticks out. maybe the artist has more works around the city I'll stumble upon. Or maybe. They will do more.

Located on the side of the Kroger on 26th and Broadway this huge mural over very well done and boasts the message of being proud of being from the neighborhood. The neighborhood has seen more downs than ups and is known as the roughest part of Louisville. Positive messages and togetherness is a great combatant to some of the pitfalls one can endure living here. This mural is part of turning the narrative around and showing pride of being from that area. Overall a great mural that is very visually pleasing and well done. Great message and great art. Beautiful addition to a Westend area that has a rapidity growing public art scene.

Located right next door to the patio lr a popular Mexican food eatery in that portion of town this mural gets lots of photos and serves as a backdrop for fun times and memories for others. Murals or art with anything wings (butterfly, angel, bird) always make for fun photo ups of standing in between the wings and pretending they are yours. So that happens a lot with this mural naturally.

Me and my family spotted this mural by pure coincidence when driving around the Shelby park area and one of my daughter said "is that Patrick from spongebob". So naturally we had to pull over and take some photos. Overall very cool piece that will be enormously popular with the youth and probably even the millennials he grew up on the popular show spongebob. I know my kids loved it. Nice addition to a Shelby park neighborhood Rich with cool public art murals.
