Awesomest place in Epinal…read more This restaurant has a patio outside and it faces a majestic cathedral. I sat outside, in a nice breeze, away from traffic.. some pigeons coo nearby. As my dinner arrives, the bell goes off from the cathedral, the pigeons flock away, the light on the cathedral lights up.. ooo-la-la... if I had only brought a date.. I would have totally scored.. Its just magical! I don;t speak much french but the madame was very helpful. I had the duck in orange glace and a demi bottle of red. Both are excellent. Ate here the second time, this time inside and upstairs and it is equally charming. Lots of leather, wood panelling, Tiffany lamps.. french speaking people.. I had the Guinea Fowl in some herb cream sauce and it was ammmmmaaaaaaaaazing.. I did not see the pigeons anymore.. so.. was it Guinea Fowl.. or did I just eat pigeon..

They have a nice assortment of beers, ranging from German, Belgium, and of course French. The outside seating is plenty but the inside is a bit small. They do have wifi, but you must ask for it (which is how in writing this review), and they do not have a food menu but they do have a good assortment of mix drinks. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking to catch a game and a good beer on a Sunday.. Because the rest of the town is closed.

I didn't go to a French restaurant and order Ribs (hoping to get American style). The ribs were tough,...even with a steak knife I had a hard time getting through the meat. Once I got it off the bone, the meat was seasoned decently, and it came with a sweet bbq sauce on he side. The salad was not to my liking as the salad dressing tasted very bitter. My ribs came with potatoes that had the potential to be good. However once I bit into them, I realize I was going to be depressed for the rest of my meal. The potatoes seemed to either been cooked too long or twice cooked (maybe cooked earlier during the days and then reheated for my meal). Even dipping them into the bbq sauce had little affect on them. The saving grace to this place was the beer. I've never had French beer, so my first experience was a good one (La bête des Vosges). Maybe I should have ordered something else, but I didn't and so I have to live with the fact that I should never eat ribs again I France... I will give this place another try and eat a different item, but until then. 2 stars is all they get.

Pour déguster de bonnes spécialités alsaciennes (choucroute, flammenküche), salades et bien d'autres plats cuisinés et avec du bon vin. Un lieu plein d'effervescence, encore plus l'été avec une terrasse qui prend place sur la Place des Vosges, la plus belle d'Epinal.

En face du marché couvert il fait converger vers lui la foule avide de faire une petite pause méritée après avoir piétiner dans les halles toute la matinée. Des petits en-cas sont là pour dépanner les affamés.
