We stayed here when dropping colleagues off for field work at Anticosti Island. The ship leaves from Rimouski so we stayed the night to drop them and their gear off the next morning.
The staff here speaks French and English well. The rooms were clean, European style so twin beds are small. It was comfortable and quiet when we were there.
It bears mentioning that there is a theme to the entire hotel, and that is the Empress of Ireland, a ship that sank nearby in a terrible incident with loss of life similar to that of the Titanic disaster. It's fascinating, as many of the windows are designed like port-holes and there is a general nautical theme throughout.
