That was the worst experience I had in any hotel I have ever been. Their internet service is…read morecompletely crap, keeps disconnecting and it is slow. I was here with a large group for 1 week and they all had the same bad experience. There is nothing around and it is far from everything. I ran out of deodorant and they have no toiletry to sell in the hotel (tooth past, tooth brush, etc). I had to get a cab to the nearest downtown that cost me 60 euros the round trip!!!! The worst part was when I sent my clothes for cleaning and my jeans shrink when it came back plus my dress shirt had a big hole in the sleeve! I complaint and they basic told me that they believe the hole was already there and they would do nothing about it. I lost 2 expensive piece of clothes (around $200 CAD both) and they haven't even removed the cleaning charge!!!! Never again I will be here and I don't recommend it to anyone!

If you are visiting when…read morethe weather is warm, be prepared to stay out until the bars close or be OK trying to sleep without A/C. But if you like to sleep, go elsewhere.

For what it is, it's a fine place-it's minimal in it's offerings, but gets the job done. The shower in our bathroom seemed fine, but when I stepped out of it, I found an inch or more of water on the floor. Seems that the shower door doesn't keep the water inside and I made a huge mess. The ladies at the front desk are very friendly and welcoming. They helped us with directions to the train station as well as other navigation assistance. If you're on a budget and don't need any frills, this place might be just fine for you.

Absolutely the Highlight of our time in Lyon. Vincent is well traveled, truly passionate about his…read moreregion and what it is capable of producing. Since our first email, communication is excellent. He listened to everything that I wanted to do and taste. He picked us up right on time from our hotel where our tour began. Vince told us all about himself which included all the places he has traveled to learn more about all wines! From Australia to South Africa to Oregon USA! He took the time to explain the winemaking process, show us the machines used, the storage area, etc. Vincent drove us by the worlds most beautiful vineyards and ended up at his very own wine shop which he opened a couple of years ago, during Covid people. This guy is a fighter!!! He is extremely enthusiastic about wine in all forms and his love shines through. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone. Don't waste your time anywhere else.
Vincent provides one of the best wine tours around. You'll have 4-8 people in your touring group,…read morewhich can be a bit tight in the van but the people will most likely be great. We opted for the full day Beaujolais tour on a 2018 visit and our group of 7 people visited three excellent wineries showing different aspects of Beaujolais. Lunch was great as well, with excellent food on a beautiful outdoor patio space and an opportunity to get to know your group a little better. Next year, we'll be back for the Rhone tour if Vincent hasn't jetted off yet to make wine somewhere else in the world. You're likely to find a good number of Americans on this tour and people with all levels of wine knowledge, but Vincent does a great job of making the experience fun for everyone. I wouldn't want to maneuver his van around Lyon traffic all the time but he does it with aplomb. You'll be picked up outside your lodging, then dropped back off at the end of the day, likely with some wine to take home. After all, that's how the wineries make money so it's good courtesy to buy a couple of your favorite bottles at each stop. If you're considering a wine tour from Lyon, this is going to be one of your best bets. Bravo!
