Starting with the downsides, We paid to stay at this…read moreaccommodation for more than half of a one-month trip in France, and there are three of us staying here. We have quite a lot of luggage, so instead of requesting room cleaning, we clean the room ourselves and empty the trash on our own. Because of that, when things like towels that never fully dry or toilet paper run out, we usually go directly to the front desk on the ground floor to ask for more. A little while ago, however, the desk staff had stepped away, and someone wearing security clothing seemed to be covering the desk. They asked again whether we were staying in one room and then said they could only give us one roll of toilet paper. To be clear, we were not completely out of toilet paper, so technically receiving just one extra roll and coming back again later could be acceptable. But the way it was given, with the implication that one room equals only one roll, felt unpleasant. I wondered if I had misunderstood, so I asked whether they were short on stock and had only one left. They said yes, which made the situation feel questionable. On top of that, the toilet paper itself looked discolored compared to what we had received before, which made me very uncomfortable. Considering where toilet paper is used, I think that discomfort is completely understandable. We still have three or four more days to stay here, and this honestly left a bad feeling. That single interaction completely erased the positive impression created by the previous reception staff. Until that moment, the reception staff had been very proactive, giving local information, sharing travel tips, and even searching things for us. The cleaning staff were also kind and helpful. Room conditions: The heating is central heating and does not work properly. There is no ventilation system in the bathroom or shower, and the windows cannot be opened. To ventilate, we have to leave the hallway door open. There is a TV in the room, but no refrigerator. I am using a bed, but on the lower level there is only one blanket to share, and on the upper level there is only a thin throw. I am currently sleeping using my coat as an extra cover. However, concerns I initially had about hygiene can be completely dismissed. There were no issues at all with the cleanliness of the beds or pillows (such as lice, fleas, ants, etc.), and there were no problems like rusty showerheads or poorly maintained, dirty facilities. The room itself is very clean. This is my first time back in Paris in ten years, and in terms of cleanliness and basic hygiene, I am very satisfied. All three of us have large suitcases, and the room is absolutely not big enough to open them properly. During the year-end and New Year period, the elevator broke down. I understand that accidents happen, but it was difficult for a companion with knee problems to go up and down from higher floors. We decided to rest at the accommodation, but there was construction causing loud noise at random times, with no prior notice or explanation. In my country, it is normal to inform guests in advance about construction, such as what kind of work it is and during what hours noise will occur, and to ask for understanding. I wondered if this was just a Paris, France thing. We did not know what the construction was or when it would end, and since we had not brought earplugs, we were unable to rest at all because the noise was sudden and unpredictable. On the positive side, the location right in front of the tram is a huge advantage for someone like me who wants to spend a long time exploring Paris. Still, thinking about it again while writing this, the toilet paper incident really makes me angry. I plan to leave a review before checking out, so I wrote this down first.

Clean hotel ..cheap rates. There are not many amenities here. You get a clean room with a bed and…read morea bathroom. Good enough, I didn't come to Paris for the hotel room. Less than 10 minutes walking to the public transportation. Staff was friendly upon check-in. Bed was comfortable, shower water was hot. Not much more you can ask for at sniffer hotel. I probably wouldn't stay here again because I like some things in a hotel that it doesn't have but this was my first stay at an ibis budget so I know if I do stay at one again after this I know what to expect. Actually staying at ibis budget the second leg of this France trip so I know what I'm looking at when I get to the south of France.

This is a great courtyard that is within a short walking distance to the Paris Convention Center…read more It's got a nice small bar with bartenders who can make a quality cocktail and a solid whiskey selection. They also have a real sit down restaurant and not just the little bistros that courtyards in the USA have. I strongly prefer this format. The bed rooms were spacious as well as the bathrooms. Two thumbs up!

THE ROOM ‐------------------…read more+ King bed room was a good size for a one bed room. + Room was super duppper clean and modern/updated with features like LED-lit mirrors and 2 shower heads (one above and one adjustable) in the shower. + All typical amentities in the room - flat screen TV, desk, refrigerator, ironing board/iron, bottled soap, shampoo and lotion. + Bring your international outlet plugs as this one indeed uses the 2-prong Southern Europe standard. + Might be TMI, but I HAVE to mention that the toilet paper might be the thickest I have ever seen!!! It's 4-ply! Yes, it exist! - Oddly, both rooms that we booked here had no alarm clock, or clock for that matter, anywhere. THE FOOD --------------- + Breakfast is served daily, at a charge, inside of their restaurant. + Probably the BESSST breakfast buffet spread I have ever seen for a hotel breakfast - scrambled and boiled eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, pancakes, smoked salmon, assorted cheeses, FRESHLY cut AND peeled fruit (grapefruit, orange, pineapple, honeydew, grapes), yogurt, oatmeal, assorted pastries, juices, coffee and more!! = Breakfast gets pretty busy with guests - especially on weekdays. THE SURROUNDINGS ------------------------------- = Hotel is located on a narrow, busy street, BUT conveniently a few min walk from a tram, bus AND train station. + Lobby is big and very clean with a bar off to the side + Multiple restaurants surround the hotel on the block. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS ‐------------------------------------------ - Unfortunately, certain rooms (e.g., King bed room, Twin bed room) DO NOT accommodate more than 3 guests. We read about it on their website and called their hotel to verify and, at the time, an employee confirmed that we could book these rooms for our family of 4 since we had 2 very small children. However, when we arrived, the employee present stated that we needed to book an extra room since we had 4 people ... like whaaaat?!?! Due to the confusion, they heavily discounted our 2nd room, but, still, it wasn't right as we all could have EASILY fit into the so-called smaller room as we found out later when we began our stay. Unfortunate situation.

This has to be one of the worst, if not the worst hotel that I've stayed at in Paris. Thankfully,…read moremy fiance and I only had to stay there for one night but man was it a brutal one - no air conditioning and no fans at the desk, our room was pretty damn hot making sleeping difficult. To add more salt the wounds, the 'bathroom' is the size of an airplane restroom and is one of the old-school all-in-one deals where the toilet and the shower, alongside the sink have no separation whatsoever except for a meager curtain. The room was tiny and they didn't have twin beds, instead they had two single beds pushed together. Both beds kept separating from each another. Honestly this hotel is just plain awful. The rates aren't competitive at all, at 80 euros a night and it's not near the subway either (it's about 10-15 minutes walking from the closest stop). There's just a bus and that's about it. Oh and our rate didn't include breakfast either and there was barely any room for our bags. This is pretty much as close to a hostel as you can get and yet they charge hotel rates. No thanks.

THE WORST HOTEL IN WHICH I HAVE EVER STAYED…read more The lift (elevator) was the size of a phone booth. We were with a group and had to take turns using it to get our baggage to our rooms. The rooms on the web site ARE NOT from this hotel. The rooms are ridiculously small and look like they were last remodeled in the 1980's. The bathrooms are more like an airplane bathroom or one from a camper/RV. You cannot take a shower without soaking the entire room. There was 1 towel in one of our rooms for 3 individuals. There is NO air conditioning and NO fans. We were there during a heat wave and suffered. If you open the window to let in fresh air, the street noise makes it so you cannot sleep. If your choice is to stay here or sleep in your car - recline your seat and count the sheep.
