Awesome place! My husband and I stayed in a very fancy and tastefully decorated room for one night, and we wished we had stayed in Montpellier longer!
Note: The rooms were renovated and decorated in the past 5+ years. If you see old photos (10+years) posted on yelp, they are not representative of the current beautiful rooms.
PROS:
- Simon is an awesome manager (and relatively new owner of the hotel), he speaks excellent English, he helped us with late check-in and showed us to our room, gave us suggestions of good food nearby, and directed us to the train station Gare St Roch (5 min walk or less). Thanks Simon!
- EXCELLENT location, just steps away from all the activity in Montpellier
- Each room is unique and ours was super gorgeous
- fancy extra jets in the shower and fancy soap
- nice AC for our summer visit!
"CONS":
- stairs only, no elevator (stairs are typical with boutique hotels)
- if you plan to drive, be prepared for tight streets and extremely limited street parking-- you're better off not driving (this is not a "con" of the hotel, but rather a "con" of portions of Montpellier
