Conventiently located a few steps from the train station. Clean and sober decor. The rooms, furniture and linens are a bit old and the hotel could greatly improve the quality of its room service food.
First lunch: my soup was randomly served with a piece of cheese and while I appreciate the attention, the next soup I ordered wasn't. Consistency is important.
First dinner: very disappointing piece of fish served with a strange assortment of steamed:butter vegetables in a bowl. Almost seemed like the soup vegetables before they were mixed..
Second lunch: omelet was way to dry and salty.
Other service issues occurred like forgetting butter, bringing coke instead of diet coke etc.
I would also strongly recommend that for a hotel of apparently this standard, room service not to be served on high school cafeteria platters and with real napkins not paper ones. We're not in school, not in a plane, and some moisture left on the platter wet the bed duvet the dinner was dropped on.
Other recommendations include providing slippers to guests and making sure room service remains are removed from the corridors during the night..
Overall however the service and staff is friendly. I like the less stuffy attitude and decor compared to the Royal Manotel but small changes could greatly improved the quality of the experience. read more
