Honestly, it seems the can barely differentiate between red and white wine. And why should they? This wine bar sells remaining stock to the customers - with no cut offs, of course. How am I so sure about this? Well, we ordered 2 glasses of wine, they came and we wanted to have a refill which was not possible because it was the last bottle. We opted for a different type of wine, staff poured wine into the glasses - 1 glass full, the other just 3 sips - again, the last bottle. This happened as well the first time my wife was there. Seriously, when you are into wine, go elsewhere. This is a rip off with incredibly untrained staff that doesn't care at all.

We arrived just a few minutes after the stated opening time, so I guess we were the first ever customers. Although quite sparsely decorated, there was a pretty cosy atmosphere. I'm not going to comment too much on the wine, as I'm no connoisseur, but I enjoyed the house red. I'll be back.

You have to walk 5m off the main road towards the entrance to the wine shop, then enter the wine shop, and then go up the stairs. The menu isn't extensive, consisting mostly of pasta and salad dishes, but there should also be a few bigger meals advertised on teh blackboard. I had a pleasant time there last night. My best friend wanted to book a table yesterday and one of the staff members from the kitchen just showed us a piece of paper which basically said: Please take NO more bookings for tonight! He smiled at us and showed it to us, but asked us to leave our number just in case there might be an open spot later. My friend received a call, called back and this friendly woman just said: Hello Alex! Yeah..now you are surprised, right?! And he was. Unfortunately they didin't have a free table for the time he wanted, but he said being declined with such a nice explanation will make him come back pretty soon and this time he will book days in advanced. This seems to be the new/old hidden hot spot in the hood. I am exited to get to know it and then write another feedback.

The creativity and craft that goes into the food makes it unlike any other restaurant I've ever been to. The atmosphere is beautiful and the piano player added so much to the whole experience. The patio outside was gorgeous and so relaxing in this chaotic city. For starters, they gave us a bread basket which was really delicious. All the condiments that came with it were good as well. Personally loved the kelp butter the most and wasn't a fan of the wine sauce with the dill. But my friend preferred this one so to each their own. They also gave us goat cheese coated in nuts as a starter as well. This was fresh and was a nice summer starter. We got the Hugo spritz and the Tempranillo red wine. The wine was good and went well with the food. For our mains we got the champagne risotto with the asparagus and the lamb filet with short rib and asparagus. These were the specials for the night. Both were cooked well but the short rib was too salty for me. Also the risotto was clumped in some parts which was disappointing. For dessert we had the licorice dessert with blueberry. I'm not a licorice fan but decided to give it a chance. Luckily the flavor wasn't strong but it was there. Not my favorite but the blueberry parts were tasty. The service was a stand out and the people were so nice. The English was also very good and we had no problems communicating. Especially was grateful when I accidentally made a reservation for the next night and they were able to seat us the night we went no problem.
