I really like her because she's fast, doesn't talk excessively much(hate when people just dont shut up in a tense awkward situation). She's kind and is really efficient, that's why I haven't bothered going to someone else(like you do with your hairdresser and change all the time to see if there's someone better out there). Of course it hurts but it's manageable somehow, you're done after 7-10 minutes and don't need to think about maintaining your area for a couple weeks. The prices are decent, about 285-340kr. However it hurts less waxing if you go regularly, which i'm really bad at in general, doing stuff consistently. If you have the money to go once a month or before your holiday, this is the place. Onlinebooking makes it really convenient as well.

It is recommended that you start off with a bikini wax so that some of the hair begins to get thinner and therefor less painful when ripped out of your body. So if pain is something that you really cannot handle and you are set on eventually becoming a sphynx in your nether regions, I would suggest starting off with a bikini wax. If you are not willing to wait, they do give you a numbing cream at your request, but it must have 30-45 minutes to take effect, which means you need to show up 30-45 mins before your scheduled appointment. Since this was my first time, I went with the numbing cream and obvioulsy cannot tell you if it worked or not. If it did work, I am not sure I would like to try it without. There was definitely pain and since the cream is supposed to reduce 70-80% of the pain, I can only imagine what it would have felt like without it. When I entered this place I was greated by a very nice woman who explained quite thoroughly how to apply the cream. The bathroom, which is downstairs, is filled with tampons, baby wipes, panty liners, and a little spritzer perfume so if you didn't come as prepared as you would have liked, they make sure you end up prepared. As I came 45 mins early for my appointment, I got to listen to quite a few people's reactions to being waxed since the walls to the rooms do not go up to the ceilings. Therefor, any groan, moan, or gasp you make is heard by the people in the waiting room. For first timers, it's enough to make you want to run out of there screaming. Eventually it was my turn to enter the chamber of torture. Christell explained to me what to do and what to expect. She was very nice and calm. She didn't talk much, but explained to me what she was going to do every time she was about to touch me, which was definitely comforting. The whole experience was definitely not as painful as I expected it to be. Granted, I did a ton of online research and made sure I did every thing in preparation to make the experience as painless as possible. I chose Waxing Palace because it was recommended by two friends. I am glad I did not listen to the review below mine. However, the review did make me look out for what was being critiized. I watched every time Christell dipped the stick into the waxing pot and each time she took a new stick. The location is small and the price is high, but I have already made my next appointment with them and would recommend anyone who is looking for any type of waxing service to try this place.

Wax off Wax on offers multiple different treatments from hair removal to massages and facials. So far I have only used their waxing service but I am positively surprised by beauty practitioner and wouldn't mind trying out more of their services. In therms of waxing they offer a bunch of different treatments with different types of wax. My personal favorite is hot wax or hard wax which it is also called. It is suppose to be better for sensitive skin. I have found it hard to find a place in Oslo who have beauty practitioners that actually use the hard wax in a good way, so I was extremely happy when Vanessa (my practitioner) was swift and very capable! Definitely recommend this location, especially for clients who are used to these kind of services in the U.S. Very similar and very good service!

There are a few things where you definitely get what you pay for and waxing is one of them! My normal place uses hard wax and since it was the only place I had ever been waxed before, I just kind of assumed all places use it. Wax On does not and wow, what a difference! The normal wax really does hurt more and to top it off, I was left with red marks for several days. I am not talking about the red bumps, I am talking about where you can see exactly where the girl put the wax and ripped it off. I was also left with stubble. Anyway, had it just been this, I would have given them a couple more stars, called it a day and never returned thinking maybe I just react abnormally to normal wax. However, the place itself is small and cold. My normal place is small, but warm and inviting and the waiting area has a couch. This place has a couple of plastic chairs in a corridor and feels old and unclean. Fay was the girl that waxed me and seriously wouldn't stop talking. She left the room as I got undressed and I hopped up on the bed. There was a little towel on the bed that I assumed was for me to put over myself so I am covered up when she walks in, but when she did walk in she asked me why I had put this towel over me as it belongs under. While I am explaining to her why and getting up half naked to put the towel under me, she swings open the door and walks out of the room because the wax had been turned off and was not heated. So I am lying there, half naked, in a room that has a doorway that opens up to large windows where anyone passing by on the street can look into and see me. Awesome! She finally comes back with some heated wax, I am already tense to begin with and now she won't shut up about how someone had turned her wax off. I will give Fay one thing, she is quick. Like really quick. From the time she put the first strip of wax on to the last pull only about 5 -7 minutes had past. Granted it was 5 -7 minutes of pure agony, but still. She tells me I can get up, hands me a pump bottle of lotion that helps remove the stickiness from the wax and all I can think about is the hundreds of people before me that had touched this lotion, rubbed it on their nether regions, realized they didn't take enough and then put their hand on the bottle again to get more lotion to rub down there. Thank god I just so happened to have my own lotion for this very purpose and didn't have to use theirs. Mind you, Fay is sitting in there talking to me, watching me rub this lotion on myself and then watching me get dressed. I realize she has just seen parts of me more up close than my boyfriend of nearly 9 years has so maybe it shouldn't bother me that she didn't leave the room while I was getting dressed, but man, give a girl a little privacy and time to recover. Clearly I would not return to this place. The only person I would recommend this place to is my worst enemy and given that I do not have any, I cannot recommend this place to anyone!
