I called Garry to have them replace my water heater with a new Bradford White gas water heater. I wanted a good quality gas water heater before the 2027 California ban on gas water heaters. Garry came the next day and the installation went smoothly. Garry was professional and was very patient in explaining features of the new unit. He charged a fair price and showed pride in his work. It's great to have hot water again. We often take our nice hot water for granted. I would highly recommend Garry and Hydroflow without reservations. read more

If you need plumbing or water heater service done right, call Hydroflow! Garry and his team recently replaced our 25 year-old Bosch natural gas tankless water heater with a Navien unit. Before I called Garry, I researched my various tankless options and thought I'd go with a unit that had a concentric exhaust vent to avoid two openings either through the roof or wall (one opening for intake, another for exhaust). When Garry came to do the estimate, he indicated that concentric vents could be troublesome, in particular the exhaust being drawn in by the intake, among other issues. In his experience, their problems outweigh their advantages. I heeded Garry's advice. His crew, Angel and Jilmer, were able to install the new water heater using our original exhaust vent in the roof. They created a new opening through the back wall for the intake vent. Garry also measured our water pressure and found it was above 100 psi. He said the recommended pressure should be between 40-80 psi to avoid damaging the pipes and appliances that rely on water. So, he installed a regulator valve to ensure correct pressure. Angel and Jilmer were skilled and meticulous with the entire project. After the work was finished, they cleaned up and left everything spick and span. The new unit is a thing of beauty and I couldn't be happier. For the amount of work that was done, including applying for the permit, Garry charged a fair price. read more

Hydroflow - New Navien tankless water heater-- a thing of beauty! - Plumbing Near Me - San Francisco, California

Garry and the Hydroflow team were 100% professional in all ways! They arrived on time to install/replace a new H2O water heater, and handled the process thoroughly and efficiently. They even solved a problem connected with the heating system by figuring out that installing a mixing valve would allow for actual warm air to flow again. Above and beyond in all ways! read more

I had a tough problem and received great advice and excellent quick service at a fair price, couldn't be happier.

We've been in this house for 2 years and my hydronic system needed an inspection so I called HydroFlow. Gary and his team were prompt, professional, fast and very helpful. Sure enough, one of the expansion tanks needed to be replaced. He also noticed that the main's pressure was far too high (90psi) so we decided to add a regulator on the indeed. At the same time Gary and his team added a whole-house Moen leak detector. The price was fair and Gary, Angel and the rest of the team did a beautiful job on the installation. read more

I am the vice president of our condo development that is totally hydronic. I first used Garry about a year ago when our pump went out. He attended to it immediately. Recently one of our homeowners heating system went out completely. They didn't know where to turn. I was able to give them the number for Garry and he quickly came over on a Friday night and assessed the situation. They needed a new water heater and two pumps that had gone out. Garry had the entire job fixed within two days, and they are so happy they found him. I can highly recommend Garry....he and his workers are very knowledgeable. If you are looking for a very competent hydronic contractor with integrity, call Garry first. Howard read more

Just got our water tank replaced with this company. Emergency situation and this company was great from start to finish! Not knowing much about our options they talked us through all that was available, we ended up going with a tankless water heater which I hadn't heard of! Super happy with the outcome. Thanks again for making this as stress free as possible! read more

I am a GC redoing a bathroom in an old Victorian in San Francisco. Garry and his crew were spot on with a couple things. 1 they helped us simplify and solve a complicated drainage problem 2 the client asked about a tankless water heater. Garry recommended the Navien. He and his crew took care of everything including pulling permits and dealing with inspectors. protip- check to see if you are eligible for green energy rebates - you might be pleasantly surprised Hydroflow definitely checks all the boxes - responsive, knowledgeable, on schedule and on budget. read more

Great experience. Very knowledgable and made special arrangements to get out sooner than expected. Highly recommend.

Our Navien radiant heat was not keeping up with the cold weather this winter, so we finally called Garry when the original installer was unresponsive. He came out and quickly assessed the situation, ordered a part, and came back in a few days when the part came in and fixed the boiler. He also noticed our water pressure was too high so he installed a pressure regulator which has fixed other problems we had no idea were caused by excess pressure (faucets leaking, faucets difficult to turn). He also found a crushed filter in the system and replaced that. Garry was efficient, very friendly and trustworthy. We're happy we found him! read more

All the positive reviews are so well-deserved and very reflective of my personal experience with Garry. He's an incredibly capable plumber and quite frankly just an all-around wonderful human being. I recently purchased a condo with underfloor radiant heating, which had quite a bit of crowning/lifting in the kitchen. I planned on addressing it with time, as I'd only purchased the place the week before....but as luck would have it, I ended up not having hot water the moment I moved in. After calling a few plumbers who came in and literally ran away after seeing the state of the building's mechanical room, I came across his glowing Yelp reviews and thought I'd give it a shot. He was able to restore my hot water (albeit briefly, because the problem was and continued to be the sorry state of affairs in said mechanical room), in addition to nearly much being a shoulder for me to cry on. It is actually pretty difficult to find honest people to help you with home stuff, and in your hour of dire need, it can be distressing to not know if you can trust people. Never once did I feel like I was being taken for a ride with Garry. I can't recommend him enough. read more

Garry has done 2 great jobs for us in NoPa, SF. The first was a somewhat complicated conversion of a bathroom into 2 baths. Done promptly, and years later, we have had no problems. Recently, our hot water heater was not working. Called Garry who promptly responded and within a few hours, the problem was fixed. And he is a nice guy. What more can you want? Thanks Garry read more

Garry is a gent and a pleasure to deal with. My water heater had Broken down and stopped working so i was left without hot running water!I called around a few places but Garry gave me the best estimate which seemed very fair compared to other prices. It turned out my water heater needed to be replaced after he looked at it he went off and got a new one and plumbed it in for me with ease. I was a happy man with a new water heater and hot running water within 24hrs. Thanks for explaining the problem to me in dept too. Hydroflow is the way to go. read more

If you're looking plumbing services in the San Francisco Bay Area, look no further. It's always stressful when you have an emergent situation like this- worrying about being taken advantage of.. I was referred to Hydroflow by a close friend and was throughly impressed from start to finish. They did an excellent job explaining what my options were for my aging water heater highlighting the pros and cons of repairing versus replacing. I felt confident in their recommendations and was updated throughout the process. I would absolutely use their services again! read more

We had a head scratching issue in our condo that Garry and Dennis helped fix, and we are so thankful! We have a hydronic heating system, and every time the heating was active, we would immediately lose hot water to our shower and faucets. We've been trying to get a hydronic expert to help troubleshoot it, but I must have called over 10 places with no luck. It's so hard to find a business that specializes in hydronics! Dennis came over, ran some diagnostics, and immediately could tell what the issue was: the original installers had a pretty major screw up - the cold return was feeding back into the top of the water heater instead of the bottom. In under 2 hours, he was able to cut, redirect, and weld some pipes, which immediately fixed the issue. In our 3 years of living in this house, we didn't even realize our faucets could get that hot! Excellent work, and would highly recommend! read more

This is the best plumbing company we have ever worked with, period. The professionalism and patience Garry and his staff display in interacting with a challenging HOA and property management company is surpassed only by their knowledge and skill: they solved a radiant heating system issue for our entire building that no other "professional" had been able to resolve for five years. Yeah, you read that right: five. years. Thank you so much Garry for your help and expertise. Plumbing problems used to be so anxiety triggering for us, but knowing Hydroflow is out there--we know we're in good hands. read more

I called a few plumbers looking to repair my broken water heater at my rental condo and Garry called me back within minutes. He was upfront with prices and what to expect and how long. He was able to make it out to my rental at a time convenient for me, and showed me exactly why my heater was broken and quickly worked to locate a replacement to get it installed. Garry was honest, efficient and truly a straight talker on how to manage water heaters. I am happy to now have a good plumber in my contacts for any future issues! Thanks Garry! read more

This was my first experience with Hydroflow. My two separate radiant heating systems are only about 3 years old, but one of them seems to require a bit more attention than the other. I didn't have the contact info of the original installer, and even so I didn't have a whole lot of confidence in them to begin with as they were a subcontractor for my overall home remodel. Getting in touch with Garry was a bit hit and miss, but I expected that as I contacted Hydroflow over the Xmas holiday. He responded to my phone message via text, which made it pretty easy to get all of the info I needed to make an appointment. Dennis came out on the Saturday before Xmas and flushed and pressurized both of my radiant heating systems. He showed me what to do so I could do it myself next time and made some recommendations to help keep the system charged. In about 2 hours, he was done and the system was ready to go. I will definitely use them again for routine maintenance and upgrades to my existing system. read more

Best water heater company ever!! Hydroflow were working on a radiant heat system next door to my house about a week ago, the guys had always said hello and been super polite working so we had a good informal repor. So leaving the house one afternoon i met garry the owner, we chatted about the waterheater in my house. Our water heater was having issues- some we were aware of (small leaks and brownish water problems) others we didnt realize (how slow it was to reheat the water) till we replaced it. I don't know the first thing about boilers or waterheaters, but the owner garry simply laid out the problems and explained both what was wrong and an options to fix it. He seemed extremely fair and walked me through all the steps and never even tried to sell me anything...gosh!! so refreshing!! My water heater was ten years old,out of warranty and an eye sore from the previous installer. Garry gave me a breakdown of what was involved to replace, a time line and price. $1450, i did check his price against others that evening when i got back home and realised he was very, very fair considering his expertise, i rang three other companies two of them were more expensive but all three were trying to push me so hard i decided i wanted to deal with a plumber and not a sales man. i've read so many bad tales about companies installing waterheaters and boilers wrong that i was hesitant but now i was trusting my gut. The next day i rang hydroflow, got talking to garry and just booked them in for the following day. They arrived on time, beautiful installation, the new water heater is more silent, more efficient and yes clean water!!!!!! i was so happy i tipped the guys $100... a small price to pay for peace of mind, a great job done and still so much cheaper than some of the "big brand" companies that are so informal!! Hydroflow have somthing that other plumbing companies lack, integrity! read more

Wow wow wow. Couldn't be more grateful!! These guys rock!! I called up Tuesday morning when I found water all over my garage. We have a radiant heat system with multiple pumps and other boxes that I don't really understand. Garry came out and was able to diagnose the problem relating to our tankless water heater. He offered two options, a fix or a replacement. The part had to be ordered and because of thanksgiving coming up and the age of the boiler we decided to upgrade. Garry made it happen and picked up a new water heater that evening and had it installed the next day! Needless to say- they saved thanksgiving!! read more

After my water heater died and flooded my garage, I called a company that promised to show up and then never came.
