Honestly, ive been meaning to write a review for this place. I have been here time and time again!…read moreI didn't even realize this place was not on Yelp...so I did Felicia a favor and added her small yet awesome massage studio. Felicia is amazing! Her massages are always on point! She says i have a million knots in my pectoral areas (i'm a critical care nurse) and she massages them out. its fairly painful...who am i kidding...very painful but necessary. Massaging those tight areas have helped with my tension headaches. She offers amazing deals and if you are a regular...she will hook you up. i always get an hour and half. she will be adding a second suite to her place so she can start doing more than one person at a time. Her place is super clean. doesn't have a bunch of fragrances floating in the air. The massage bed does have a heater on it. I practically go at least twice a month if not more. please come check her out! Tell her Amy sent you!

She also had complimentary water, juice, wine & king cake while I waited for her to finish with her other client. The massage was so relaxing! I'm pretty sure I almost fell asleep a few times. I told her I had a lot of tension around my shoulders, so she did a great job at targeting that area.

She was so welcoming and hospitable. Her set up and her presence provided so much comfort and warmth going into the session, throughout, and afterwards. I wasn't sure what to expect with this so the visions I saw and the heavy emotions that flowed through seemed random until she put it into words. Not only was she so compassionate and thoughtful in helping me understand what I had just experienced, she also walked me through what to expect in the days to come. Even after heading back into my normal life routine, I still feel like I'm living in a different dimension because of what I experienced at Iridescent Healing. Met is a true healer and guide. I highly recommend her and I look forward to coming back next time I'm in New Orleans. Thank you Met for sharing your gifts and abilities.

I followed my massage therapist, Ty, here to Bodhisattva Tea Spa. I have been going to Ty for a…read moremonthly massage for about two years now. Please note that I had a car accident two years ago and it messed up my back. So in addition to physical therapy, Ty's monthly massages helped rehabilitate my back. The owners of the Bodhisattva Tea Spa, Jerome and Yolanda are so welcoming and friendly! I posted pictures of the spa after taking a personal tour with Yolanda. It looks like I've found my spa joint! I had an hour long massage with Ty and it was wonderful as usual! The room is nice and dark with a comfortable temperature. I enjoy the soothing music. The spa is upstairs and located right across from lakeside mall next to the Capital One. The tea spa has an array of loose teas to choose from and they have beautiful tea sets as well. I'm impressed that they have the mortar and pestle to grind your teas. They had a tea ceremony a few weeks back. There are multiple rooms in the tea spa. There is an aesthetician room which helps when I need my brows and lip waxed! They also have a room with a dry sauna. In addition, they have a multi-purpose room where they have yoga classes with a suggested donation from $5-10. They also have tai chi classes and do energy work. They also have hot teas brewed and ready to go.

I had no idea there were so many different varieties of teas! I'm thrilled to go in and sample some of these exotics flavors. Plus they're always happy to brew a cup for you to try. They love converting a person to a tea lover! This weekend, I had the pleasure of using their spa services. Firstly, I have been following their Facebook page for a while. Occasionally, they'll have these contests for their followers. Last month, they held a contest for a free Pinda Swedana session, and I won!! In case, you don't know what that is, "Pinda Swedana is a process by which the whole body is made to perspire. This is done by applying hot boluses containing various types of fresh plants and other herbal ingredients gently all over the body for 45 minutes. It is a swedana (fomentation) therapy commonly used for pain relief and reducing inflammation." I had also bought a Groupon several weeks ago so called them to make both appointments. Yolanda was very pleasant and friendly with my schedulings. She was still that way when I had to reschedule! (Seriously, love these people.) And she ended up being my Pinda Swedana masseuse/applier. It was an 30 min session where you lay on a table while she rubs these herb-infused bags around your body. I loved it and thought it was very soothing. I could feel it circulating my juices and definitely felt like a new person when she was done. Plus all the smells were so nice, I was tempted to grab the bundles to taste the fresh rosemary, cloves and other ingredients she had in there. Yolanda said everything was food-grade and was a good primer for my massage. I agreed and impatiently waited for that session to begin. (She suggested scheduling it for a different day to allow my body to adjust to the Pina Swedana treatment. The next day, I was happy I took her advice.) Sunday finally arrived, and my body couldn't be happier. It was aching from head to toe. So I sank into the comfy table to do my 90 min. massage. The masseuse was AMAZING!! She really took the time to find out where my aches were pooled and focused on those specific areas. She was on my shoulders for a good 30 mins. when the aches moved down my body and settled into my mid-back. She rubbed and stretched that section out for a good 40 mins when the pain shifted lower. All the while, I was feeling the blood rushing back into those cramped super tight muscles. When she was finally done with me, I felt so drained but relaxed. It was obvious my body really needed it. Immediately I felt the effects of keeping all that trapped toxins in my body. It kicked into detox mode, and I promised myself I would never let it get that bad again. And with Bodhisattva Tea Spa around the corner from work, I will never have to again. So what are you waiting for? Go now! Your body will thank you. Mine does!
