Hyde Park is a lovely green space right in the city. We saw people relaxing on the grass, joggers everywhere, families with kids, and even people out on boats in the lake. It's not a "wow" attraction, but more of a peaceful community park -- an important escape for Londoners in the middle of the hustle and bustle. Nice to see, but not a must if you're short on time.

Just north of the Royal Albert Hall and northwest of Buckingham Palace sit Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens: a stretch of green bisected by West Carriage Drive. Hyde Park was once the recreational stomping grounds for King Henry VIII, but now this 350-acre swath of land is open to the public and a must-visit for travelers looking for a relaxing moment away from the city's hustle and bustle Among Hyde Park's meandering foot and bike paths and flourishing flora and fauna, you'll find a few standout attractions that are worth exploring. Watch the swans and boats glide over the serene Serpentine Lake (or rent a vessel yourself), visit the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fountain Covering 350 acres, Hyde Park is London's largest open space and has been a destination for sightseers since 1635. One of the park's highlights is the Serpentine, an 18th-century man-made lake popular for boating and swimming. Hyde Park is also where you'll find Speakers' Corner, a traditional forum for free speech--and heckling.

I wish I had walked further into this park, however the parts of this park was beautiful. The tree line walking paths were beautiful. Please enjoy this park as I wish I had done.

I love going to parks just to walk around. I didn't get to see the full view of Hyde park but I some of it. It's pretty small compared to Central Park in NYC which I visited last summer. It's a great place to walk, bike, and spend time with family/friends. They had an art exhibit set up but they were closed by the time I arrived. The landscape wasn't anything magnificent. There was a Stevie Winder concert going on when I passed by. There were lot of people going to that. I can't say I was too impressed by this place, but if I'm ever in London again, I'd like to go back and explore the park more. I'm sure there's more that I'm missing, but it was just okay.

Nice place for a picnic or a jog. I went here on a Friday night! If you want to walk , run or take a bike ride.

Gorgeous and expansive park in the middle of London, however, there are parts that feel quite remote. We walked through Hyde Park on our way from Marylebone to Royal Albert Hall. There was so much to see! There were plenty of walking trails as well as waterfront views on the Serpentine where people were paddle boating. We traversed the park in the morning and then again in the afternoon. It was stunning no matter what time of day and being out in public just feeding off the great vibes. In addition to the walking trails, there were bike lanes as well as large flat fields where people were playing sports, picnicking and conversing. The people of London are really fortunate to have such a beautiful and bountiful place to kick back and relax. This is what third spaces is all about!

Beautiful park, loaded with biking and walking paths soccer fields, horticulture and bird filled Lake Serpentine. Gotta see the Swans!!! During the warm season, you can rent paddle boats. Wonderful history and rich $$$$ heritage in Knightsbridge area of London. There are several restaurants on the lake where you can catch a snack or beverage.

Hyde Park was founded in 1637 and is 350 acres large in Westminster, London. It is the largest of the park & forms a chain from Kensington Palace through Kensington Gardens, Buckingham Palace to St James's Park. This park has a lot of history, but today we could visit the marble arch, go to the speakers corner, ride a horse on rotten row, tour Apsley House from 1871, stand under the Wellington Arch, admire the Queen Elizabeth Gate, ride a boat on Serpent Lake, visit both galleries, find the Diana Memorial Fountain, visit the holocaust memorial, find the reformers tree ... Many concerts have been held on the parade grounds. During the summer there is swimming in Serpent Lake & at Christmas time there's a Winter Wonderland here. It was a sunny day & I enjoyed a stroll.

Great park for walking or just relaxing in the shade or sunshine. Tremendous wildlife and attractions for the whole family. Plenty of options for food and refreshments all around.

What an amazing and beautiful place w lovely flora and fauna. The evening walks are just wonderful and very safe. Lovely staff and helpful locals Lovers about kidding and snogging paying no one any attention. Just a great place to visit. Grab a bench and people watch. I'll be back.

I was able to attend the Morgan Wallen 4th of July concert in Hyde Park London! What a beautiful and tranquil walk to our viewing suite. Stunning surroundings. The tree lined pathways made for a lovely walk.

Take a rejuvenating walk in the park. Re-energize! One of my favorite parks to walk and refresh my tired bones. Diving into the living green is healing in so many ways. Every city should require a park. It is the living soul of the concrete Jungle. For public transportation, many buses stop here as well as an Underground metro station. I like to arrive at Paddington Train Station and take a pleasant walk to the Serpentine in the park. Lovely!

Where to start? We walked through Hyde park with our local friends and their dog. Jessie was off leash as were several other dogs. There were people on horseback as well. No dog fights or chasing the ponies. Our friends would leash her up where it was necessary. This just isn't something I've seen in Southern California. The flowers were beautiful. And it was clean and I felt safe.

Beautiful park! We walked through here each morning from our hotel to get breakfast or shop. We loved the Italian garden and the swan pond.

If you have not visited the development just north of Kings Cross recently, I urge you to do so…read more It's really impressive, albeit mostly focused around housing and a lot of reasonably high-end retail. There are lots of places to eat (both restaurants and coffee) and there's quite a student vibe, thanks to the Central St Martins art and fashion college being located there. However, if you're looking for an antidote, just cross the canal and then you will find the Camley Street Natural Park. It's a delightful semi-wilderness, with lots of wild planting, trees and ponds, with paths and seating. The drawer for me is their café. They serve teas, coffees, a limited range of alcoholic drinks, fresh organic juices, and cakes and light snacks. These include a soup of the day, sandwiches, toasted sandwiches and paninis. Most of the options are vegan or vegetarian, although there are a few meaty options as well. They have only outdoor seating (albeit under cover), so it is a good option if it is warm (or you are well wrapped up). The quality is really good, but do be prepared for a bit of a wait, especially if they busy, as everything is prepared to order. To be fair, the friendly staff warned us of this, but we were happy to wait and watch the world go by. A bit of a find, and worth knowing about.

You lucky lucky people…read more You're lucky I'm so nice and telling you about a hidden gem in the heart of London. A place to go when you thought you'd seen it all. Somewhere to escape and to learn. Somewhere where children can look a pond bugs and adults can (probably) kiss. We were on an anti tourist walk on a Saturday in and around Camden mostly because I'm a mild masochist who likes a challenge. We wound our way though lesser known parts of Regent's Park and down Regent's canal, only failing when we passed Camden Lock itself. To the east of this is this wonderful little two acre park right next to St Pancras international Station. Blink and you miss it, I would encourage most people to blink. This is two acres of land saved by the London Wildlife Trust and kept as a wildish nature reserve. From the canal it just looks like trees but get in and you will find a mini paradise of eco-conservationism. We were almost alone with the city feeling a million miles away in a pristine wild wetland, meadow and woodland area that has facilities for classes and education. It's wonderful little surprises like this that keep pulling me back to London so seriously...tell no-one, or you'll ruin my anti-tourist walk.
