The Service was amazing when I walked in it was, I was met with love and care. I let my stylist Jill know I wanted to lighten the natural color of my hair to a lighter brown to blend with highlights better but I only wanted to use bleach on my highlights to not damage my curls by doing my whole head. So she did exactly what I wanted she got my to a perfect brown all and the color was the same color all over my head which is difficult to do, especially at the roots, however she did it. Took my kid to get his hair dyed and they left it botched. The whole process felt rushed. We couldn't see results till we got home with his soaking wet hair. Think the lady was rushing to get home. We had to wait till it dried at home to see the botched color. The results were not what his inspo pics were, not even close. The color was 3 toned and brassy when she supposedly put a toner in it. We had asked for a solid color. Went back to try to fix it and the owner and other lady got defensive and over spoke when trying to explain the problem kicked me out of salon because I was telling them my kid was not happy with the color. They then said they could add another color on top of the hair with the same lady that messed it up in the first place. One of their customers that was sitting down also agreed that the color was botched. Owner got mad because the customer was talking to me .Very rude and unprofessional. Such a great experience here today! I'm getting married soon and needed to get my hair done-after months of SIP in SF and the openings of salons being pushed back. Found Hyatt's on Yelp and decided to make the drive from the City for a wig install (sew down of lace front wig, no glue). Sherry was great to work with and easy to make an appointment with via phone/text. The salon is very clean and everyone had masks on and was socially distancing. All the stylists are super friendly and the atmosphere is fun, friendly and they play great music. I love the way my hair came out! Sherry doesn't braid too tight which I appreciated! She also washed and conditioned my hair and gave some good hair care/product recommendations. Pricing is reasonable and fair for the high quality of work. I went to Sherry for a keratin treatment and trim. I hadn't had one done in 5 years since the last one was disastrous (painful application, lots of irritation). She gave me a personal fan to keep any vapors away from my face and gave me a great price for the amount of time and product used. Sheri and Jill are wonderful! They are very professional and do amazing work. My hair always looks amazing when I leave from their shop. They are extremely knowledgeable and know how to make sure your hair stays healthy. They are friendly, kind and flexible. They also go above and beyond black hair styles. I've recommended them to my white friends as well. They can do natural hair, relaxed hair, anything and everything. Their salon is clean and comfortable, in a safe neighborhood with plenty of parking. They offer you drinks and snacks while you are waiting. They aim to please. My only caveat is that you can definitely get your hair done for cheaper elsewhere, but then you wouldn't have the great quality. It is on the pricier side but they did give me a new client deal the first time I was there. And do give deals if you buy hair directly from them. I don't even know where to begin (in a good way!) Thank you, fellow Yelpers, for your reviews of this shop. I would not have found them otherwise. I came to Sherry due to my county (Santa Clara) playing "Whack-a-Mole" with the opening and closing of salons. It had been 6 months since I was able to see my regular stylist (was due to go back literally the week lockdown started) for a relaxer touchup and color. Normally, the longest recommended time between visits is 7 weeks. What I loved is Sherry's (and her sweet Mom's) problem-solving ability, the non-judgemental attitude and fun decor of the shop and her strict attention to detail when it came to following COVID-19 protocol. It was amazing to watch her coordinate the other clients (she purposely limits the amount so that social/physical distancing can be practiced) along with these efforts. I originally went to her for what my regular stylist would do. Unfortunately, because I was forced to wait so long, I experienced a few spots of breakage along the ends (which I expected, because the schedule was interrupted). I also have a nightly health challenge that makes it very difficult to do any type of roller set for an extended time. In the end, she came up with a solution that no other stylist had ever suggested, along with the opportunity to have my hair redone at no charge if it did not work out. So far, it's been amazing! I finally look put together again and would definitely return to see her (as long as San Mateo County keeps salons open). I am already envisioning future styles done by her, and can see the potential for her to perhaps become my new hairdresser. For all the work she did and her talent, I thought her prices were extremely fair and reasonable. As a bonus, there was street parking available at no charge, and the shop is in a nice area. This visit was my first time back at a salon since prior to the pandemic and it was a great experience. I received a recommendation from friends who have been going to the salon for years. Sherry communicated clearly and asked me which services I was requesting. She made sure to talk me through the process of the wash/deep condition and showed me where my hair needed to be trimmed to ensure I was comfortable. Got my ombré done at some crappy salon near by my house in Daly City and all they did was bleach it. It didn't even fade from one color to another. Completely unsatisfied. A close friend Adonis brought me here for my birthday. Jill and her daughter are total sweethearts. They made me feel comfortable as if I was at home. It took a tiring 7 hours but they were able to tame my hair! It fades beautifully from brown to a soft blonde and I'm literally speechless. My hair is softer, dispute my dreadful ends, and more manageable. What more can I say? I love my hair. She even educated me on how the pigment of my skin reacts to my hair. Since my pigment is more red, they gave my hair more of green tone to cancel and even it all out. If you plan on getting an ombré done, come here! Highly recommend it. read more

Took my daughter here and was thrilled to find someone who understands how to cut natural corkscrew curls! Jill knew exactly what to do and conditioned and cut her hair just the way my daughter wanted it. Jill's daughter Sherry worked with her to style with the diffuser. I am so happy I found Hyatt Hair Studio! I have extremely curly hair especially around my forehead which has made it hard for me to truly style my hair and get the looks I have wanted. I was always afraid to try a Keratin treatment because I do love my curls and I don't want to totally give them up. Jill spent time talking to me and getting to know my hair. She suggested that I do a light keratin treatment focusing on certain areas of my hair so I can keep the curl where I want and just reduce some of the curl/frizz in some of my more problem areas. Suffice it to say I am in love with the results! We were able to reduce the curl around my forehead by 75% which allowed me to get bangs and pull off the short cut that I have always wanted!! I would recommend these ladies to anyone! They are incredibly nice and will take the time to figure out how to get you the outcome you desire. read more
