Checked in at 9:45 pm on 3/20/25 and noticed a barcode in the parking lot and at the counter that says you have to pay each night for parking. $12 bucks a night is what the clerk told me (which turns into 13 when you go to pay because of the "service charge"). I booked and prepaid through hotels.com, and this was NOT disclosed. I went back and looked at the fee section to see what was listed and it only says $50 hold for incidentals. Ridiculous policy because I'm already here and even if I could cancel and get a refund I'd pay more last minute to switch to another hotel. (Hotels.com typically won't let you cancel and if you do it's a hassle). The excuse from the clerk is "well you booked through a 3rd party and we don't tell them about it, but it's on our website. You have to go to our website. This made my blood boil. Who books through a third party and also goes to check the website? NOONE! The point of using a third party is partially for convenience. I'm also told by her that if I don't pay I'll get a ticket. This is a terrible business practice and is ripe with potential for a class action lawsuit against Hyatt and the proprietors of this location ....which I intent to explore. I recommend avoiding any and all businesses that use these shady methods to extort more money from their customers. They act like they don't profit because of the booking through a third party. Well that third party gives the majority of that money to the hotel. I'm sick of businesses like this one who use the third party bit as an excuse to treat THEIR customers like an unwanted step-child/2'nd class citizen. Kudos to the clerk who kept her cool because I let her know in no uncertain terms my thoughts on the matter. This hotel knows they have you trapped and it's a small enough amount that most people will just pay it and not deal with trying to get a refund, finding another place to stay last minute, and switching hotels. And they count on that fact. Well I'm not letting it slide. It's not the $13 it's the principle. This feels like theft or extortion and I'm going to enjoy making as much of a stink about it as I can. 12.00 A DAY FOR PARKING! Horrible internet and service! RIP OFF!!! Another threadbare Hyatt that needs renovated and deep cleaned. The chairs in the lobby are worn, and the lobby has a strange layout. Nothing feels clean, it's just drab. I stayed on the third floor and it SMELLS BAD in the hallway. You have to go through the trouble of registering your car to be parked there. The carpet looks dirty and there are stains in the hallways. My room has a hole on the couch cushion, an old ptac unit which smells funny, and a dirty couch. One star for the decent price (5,000 points) and the nice guy working the front desk, nothing else deserves a star. Sadly this is on par with most affordable Hyatt hotels. I am not impressed but it's good to have a safe place to sleep. I will say the area around the hotel is nice and it feels safe. Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. read more

I honestly gave this place a chance. This hotel was filthy i walked in my room Smelling like Mildew and ass thankfully I has spray. The stains in the carpet and the couch I used towels to sit in it. I didn't sleep under the sheets I asked for extra blankets and slept on tops of that . This hotel needs to be shut down and renovated there is no way they have passed expecting I didn't even get breakfast because of the rooms are dirty aims no way in hell I'm eating their food . Hallways are super dark. I stepped on towels when getting out the shower because the smell from the carpet was crazy . I was in town for a wedding and needed a Hyatt that was close to the family and the festivities. I settled here in Norcross and I really liked it a lot. The location is right off a major road with lots of options for food and other stuff nearby. Best of all there was an LA fitness 5 minutes away so I had to stop on in for a few gym sess. The staff here were amazing, very pleasant to deal with. Sue the overnight front desk person was very helpful and kind. The rooms were clean, the beds comfy, AC worked and no issues with any of the other amenities in the room. Very good price per night and if you have points it's a steal. read more

My stay here was quite interesting to say the least but in the end they were able to make the needed corrections to win me over. For starters I stayed here because I had family in town who were helping me with my surgery and the additional beds/space made sense. When filling out my reservation there are questions asked to make your stay as accommodating as possible. 1 being "would you like a room near by or away from an elevator" again being that I was having surgery I wanted to be placed near an elevator so I didn't have to do much walking. When I checked in, everyone was absolutely great. However, I went up to the room and it was the complete opposite of an elevator. Of course after expressing the mistake Emmanuel immediately jumped into action and got us a corrected room. The next day, we encountered a traumatic situation where the elevator broke down while we were on it. We were stuck on the elevator for 45mins to 1hr and luckily I was with my mom but the unfortunate thing about this was the lack of communication from the night auditor who was on duty dealing with this issue. Now granted, he could've been in shock and unsure because it's not everyday you get a call from the elevator that its stuck with people inside, but he had no emotion or urgency to share updates with us when we asked, multiple times might I add, what's going on? Eventually the fire dept came and they were more open with the communication and process. The other issues we had were non working TV and refrigerator both of which were fixed by Attlee and Ezequiel when reported. Outside of this we were able to enjoy the stay despite the consistent run ins of unfortunate events. Some of our highlights of this stay were: - Location (you're near many shops so you don't have to travel far for anything needed) - Free breakfast every morning! It was always pretty decent food and the breakfast/morning staff were great. - The pool (while updates to the area like new chairs and more frequent cleanings should be considered, the pool was a great way to relax) - Pet friendly (this was both a pro and con. A pro because it's great to see pets accepted as guest, con for the sensitive pets that bark at everyone walking by or even just bark all the time that you may here from your room) - Lastly, the friendly and helpful staff. The General Manager Rayya and her staff honestly swing into action anytime something is needed. And while we had multiple unfortunate events, they never once treated us as though we were on their nerves and they handled every obstacle with a smile! For that I'll continue to book here when needed. read more

It's hard not to give it four stars to a place where the rooms are large, the mattresses are comfortable and they serve breakfast every morning! I came down here for a Class that was held at a nearby facility, and ultimately was pretty impressed with this place. I tend to be a Marriott guy, but when somebody else is paying, I'm just happy to have a bed. The rooms here are spacious, with mine having a nice little study nook, A mini bar, a good size sectional couch, a giant TV and a good size bed. The only thing that was a bit lacking was the size of the bathroom, but it was made up for by the fact that the shower put out an incredible amount of water and made for a very nice sharing experience! Check in was quick and everyone was very friendly. They have Nice little area for breakfast, which is included in your stay! The breakfast was three stars, with an extra half star for the pile of bacon that was in the corner! I also appreciated that they had a range of textures, from soggy, all the way up to extra crispy. It's nice to have choices! The workout facilities are relatively small, but include both weights and cardio machines. They have a couple of bikes, and elliptical machine and a couple treadmills. It's open 24 hours a day and simply requires key access. A solid place With nice amenities, friendly staff and good bacon...Not the nicest place you'll ever stay, but certainly not the worst. Basic hotel with good customer service. The room was adequate and fairly clean, just felt like it needed a little more attention to a couple of items Around the windows there was crumbling ceiling material and lots of dust around top of window covering. The thing that got me though was the coffee maker. When I plugged it in it began running a cycle so I put a cup in to catch the water coming out. I looked in the cup and found fragments or some foreign matter. Ran a second cup of water through, same thing. Needless to say I am done making coffee in hotel rooms. Other item that bothered me, I had a downstairs room next to the exterior door. At first I thought this was a great idea but soon found out that the door leading out (and in) was not secure. No lock. We stayed at this hotel overnight for one night. Thank goodness it was for not longer than that! My coworker had selected the hotel - so I copied his itinerary. We checked in late on a Monday evening. They did not have my Hyatt number on the reservation - so they had to manually add it. I got off the elevator and immediately noticed an off and unpleasant odor in the hallway. Like the lingering odor of some cleaning product that was used to try and remove some other odor. I opened the door to my room - and it smelled the same way. At this point, I consider calling the front desk to see about transferring to another room - but based on how the hallway smelled - I guessed that many rooms were going to smell like this. So I decided to gut it out. There were many problems with the room: - The WiFi internet access was so slow - web pages would slowly fill in. It felt like I was on an old dial-up connection. - I attempted to watch Monday Night Football on the HD TV in my room. It was a very old HD TV - probably time for an upgrade. The signal for the TV was poor - the screen kept redrawing due to a weak signal. It made watching TV frustrating. - The HVAC unit in the room was ridiculously loud. I would guesstimate I woke up at least a dozen times during the night due to the noise. It sounded like an old, loud lawn mower. - I could not get more than lukewarm water in the morning when I took my shower. Nov 2, 2024 business meeting with company staff. I left 2 blouses in the closet when I left in a hurry. 2 brand new blouses in which I have receipts. I notified the staff immediately after I unpacked that I left the blouses. It took until 12/18 for Chantise Ellison and Steve Wells to tell me that housekeeping found nothing, basically telling me that I am lying. Now, I flew first class to the event. Money is not the issue. Morals, character and customer service do matter. Evidently, these people have no concept about any of that. $160.00 is not worth my time and energy normally except when there is complete incompetence. These people should be fired immediately along with the housekeeping person who stole my items. I am perplexed as to how you can operate a business when your staff cannot act in a responsible manner. In this world of mediocrity, please elevate yourselves to the higher good. Make things right. I recommmend never staying at this hotel. As you enter the facility and the doors open a pleasant sweet smell, cold air from the a/c and the iced lemon water are what greets you. We came iba and met JC at the counter, come to find out in the morning he puts out an amazing breakfast, to check in. He was so nice and professional. Gave us the rundown of the facility and everything available with it. Next morning, we had the breakfast and man what a nice lay out. I stayed here while in Atlanta for the first time ever. I'll have to say, it exceeded any expectations I had. First and foremost, big time props to the staff at the desk and the guys that help. I arrived with everything charger and cable except an iPhone lightning cable. I was prepared to purchase one and was asking the folks at the where I could as I know nothing about the area. Long story short, a gentlemen searched high and low for one in the facility then let me borrow his personal charger for the week. Unbelievable, The hospitality and friendly service here put this place on a higher level than any star or rating. The rooms are very spacious. There's a desk, coffee maker, small fridge, couch, 50ish" television, a sink as mentioned by other outside of the bathroom, a comfortable with ample amounts of pillows, and a shower in the bathroom. I had the opportunity to dine in at the grill/bar in the lobby. For two evenings, instead of venturing out and trying food, I opted to dine in. The burger is spectacular, featuring two 3oz all beef patties, lettuce, tomato, cheese, and a buttery artisan bun. I did fancy my taste buds with their fried okra one evening and the Parmesan/paprika/chive fries the next. read more

Not sure if the breakfast eggs were even eggs. I remember researching this hotel on either Yelp of TripAdvisor and saw a few posts about how the complimentary breakfast scrambled eggs were disgusting. Now I've had my fair share of 3 star hotel eggs or if all my years of business travel so in thought how bad could they really be? Hands down the most disgusting eggs I've ever eaten. Which is a shame since I'm on a keto diet so all I can really eat from the breakfast bar is the eggs and bacon. The bacon was really good, but the scrambled eggs.... I'm not sure if it's the cooking method, or the eggs themselves (I have a suspicion that it's actually "egg product") but the texture of the scrambled eggs turn out into small little BB sized pellets, and are dry and powdery. See my attached pic. #nofilter Oh and just like that other reviewer said, the girl WiFi is so slow that it's hardly usable. In the evenings when I get back from the office, the download speed is around 2.4Mbps down. I had to tether my work laptop to my smartphone to be able to actually download moderately sized email attachments. Just couldn't be productive with the hotel internet. read more

This is one of the better Hyatt Place because I've been to a few where I had to go outside and check to make sure I was at the right hotel. This Hyatt was immaculate very clean. The room was cleaned to perfection, the tub was sparkling and so was the bathroom sink. The staff was also super friendly. The buffet was different everyday and it was tasty and they had a nice selection of items and freshly squeezed juice. I have no complaints and I will definitely stay here again. read more

Accommodations were comfy, check in and out process was expedient, and staff were courteous and professional. The on-site restaurant is convenient, but if you're not looking to drop $12 on a cheeseburger, there are plenty of other options around the block-- Wendy's, Arby's or Taco Bell for the fast food crowd.... and for the slower options, there's Bull Gogi (Korean) and another place called Kool Runnings Jamaican restaurant. The hotel staff is pleasant and very accommodating. However on more then 20 occasions the fire alarm has gone off around the clock. So badly that the first week I stayed at the hotel I couldn't even get any rest! Secondly the hotel smelt horribly of marijuana! Marijuana on the elevator and the entrance was the most dreadful, as I have to go to work and it's not cute pulling up to work smelling of marijuana. Thirdly there's so much trash and debris in the parking lot, that all and all is just ridiculous! I don't understand how people can be so ignorant. Fourth the air condition unit soaked the floor and the air condition was so intermittent it was like it was only cold for every so often. So that was disappointing! read more

We booked a room for 5 persons with two double bed and a sofa bed because we have 5 members in our family. When we arrived to check in, they said they only have a room with a king and a sofa bed because everything is sold out and that there are nothing that they can do. I'm not sure where to begin with this review. I'll just say I'm SUPER disappointed with this hotel. I was wondering why it was so inexpensive! That was red flag number 1! You get what you pay for!!! It is totally outdated... the room wasn't the cleanest to say the least. We were only here for one night so my hubby said we'll make the best of it. The refrigerator was not clean on the inside... there are NO USB ports anywhere to charge your devices. When I first walked into the lobby, upon checking in, the entrance was not clean/tidy. That was an indicator of what my room would be like. If I could've turned around and walked back out I would have. We stayed here for two nights and were locked in here (as other family members had already booked their stays). I loved the location, set back from the main street--surrounded by trees. The only drawback to this is that if you don't know where you're going, it can be a bit tricky the first time. As we checked in, the shuttle driver (and part of the kitchen staff) rode up on the elevator with us, introduced himself, gave us a card and told us (a) he would take us to any restaurant we wanted, and (b) he could also make us anything from the kitchen. \ Seemed like a good person to connect with! We found the rest of the staff to be just as friendly. The free breakfast was typical with the eating area being larger than most other "free-breakfast" type places. This hotel is probably one of the best hotels that I have stayed in. The cleanliness of the hotel is far above what I have seen in many other hotels as of late. As well, the rooms are very spacious, with their own sitting rooms with work area and couches, that also fold out into another bed. Along with that is fridge and sink for your convenience. As well, the King Size beds and 42" Flat Screen TVs makes the hotel even more comfortable then home at times! The bathroom sink and mirror are located outside the actual bathroom giving you ample light and room to get ready. This is particularly useful if you are staying with someone, and they need to shower while you ready yourself. This hotel location is probably about 15-20 mintues outside of Downtown Atlanta, but it is worth it if you are looking for a great price and beautiful location. The continental breakfast is great too. Everything from bread to bagels to fruit and cereal - as well as hot breakfast (eggs, etc) that can be purchased for a small price. In addition, they serve Starbucks Coffee with their continental breakfast. 24 hour room service is also helpful for those late nights out, or you can even stop at the bar that they have in the lobby! It's not a huge FULL bar, but decent enough to sit and chat and have a drink. This is the only hotel I stay in when traveling to our office in Atlanta! read more

This hotel was an emergency stop because I couldn't make it home. Long night. But to my surprise the hotel was very clean and boy do they have mirrors everywhere in the room. Please note, this is definitely a great hotel for a woman...preferably a woman that cares about her makeup and the lighting she does it in. The room was super clean, and of course there was a separate sitting/living area. Last but not least, I could NOT find this place on the bed bug registry soooooo...that's even better. We recently stayed at Hyatt Place for 5 days. We checked in and shock to find trash,dirty drinking glasses left from the previous guest. We were surprise that every morning @ 8 housekeeping knocks on the door to clean. If you are not ready when they knock, they will not return to do so for the day. Breakfast was okay nothing to rave about, it was just something to fill your stomach up to start your day. Overall our experience was great, we did receive an apology letter and 2 complimentary drinks at the bar for the troubles.Best of all(YAY) we were given one night stay for free!! I don't even know where to start here, but here it goes: First, upon arrival and entering the room for the first time, we were greeted by a hole in the wall behind the door and a wall panel on the floor. While we did show the attendant at the front desk the same photo attached to this email, he did not seem to care or enter it as a note (deeply concerned about being charged for this damage). Second, we were about to get into the bed when we realized that the sheets had a pungent mildew smell about them. This smell was sickening, but since the same attendant was likely at the front desk we waited until the next day to bring this to the staffs attention, to which they did nothing. Third, upon arrival we were issued two separate hotel room key cards. Upon waking up the next morning, these keys no longer functioned in the lock leaving us locked out of the room. After going downstairs to get the keys reprogrammed several times, it finally worked one single time, after which it did not work again prompting us to need to go to the front desk each and every time we enter the room. Fourth, the AC unit does not function in the room. On the first night it functioned properly for approximately three hours, but then no longer functioned properly and instead emitted a ear screeching noise rather than producing cold air. Fifth, the entire hallway and even our room has a pungent, sickening cannabis odor. Due to a preexisting medical issue (Chron's Disease), this unwanted smell has caused excruciating vomiting and other issues due in part to the smell's presence in the room. Sixth and finally, the housekeeping did not even make an effort to enter or clean our room despite not being present in the room for the entire day. Toward the end of our three night stay we had ran out of towels and had no hope of receiving more. It was deeply upsetting and only added to an otherwise awful stay. Do not stay here! read more

Fantastic experience! My friends and I went to a club one night and ended up singing "HO-TEL, MO-TEL, HY-ATT PLACE"... we are either that lame or that's just how much we liked this hotel. The rooms were clean, modern, and spacious; the double beds were a bit small but the L-shaped couch in the room (with pullout sleeper!) made up for it. Gotta love the free wifi, free parking, and fitness center. I think my group was most enamored by the complimentary breakfast: delicious oatmeal, fresh fruit, tazo teas, and a very impressive rotation of breakfast sandwiches. read more

If you have to stay in Norcross, then this hotel is sufficient. Staff is all very friendly and definitely feel welcomed here. Lobby and morning bfast bar are quite nice, but don't think you're getting any real food here for lunch or dinner - head down the road to the Forum Shops for that. The rooms themselves are typical Hyatt Place rooms - fairly comfy beds and great 42" flatscreens, but beware that bathrooms are consistently pretty yucky - ie, wear flip flops (I've stayed here many times for business and this is consistent), and the A/C units are extremely loud so if you're a light sleeper, you'll have issues. Also, carpeting can be damp as well. Overall, just make sure you have a pair of slippers and for the most part, you'll have a solid hotel room for the price. read more

We've been doing a lot of traveling the past few years with my daughter who does gymnastics. I will have to say this hotel was a pleasant experience. Very efficient check in-probably the fastest of any hotel I've seen in quite awhile. The room was spacious with plenty of room for the two adults and two kids. I really liked the couch and seating area and the TV was huge and enjoyable to watch the football game. Only stayed there for one night but the staff was very friendly. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of hot and cold choices. Would definitely recommend and stay there again. read more

The 2-star represents the hotel overall ineffectiveness in managing rowdy guests. I am certain my experience can be resolved with good leadership and a tactful management team. Hyatt Place Norcross is an excellent establishment and the front desk team was helpful during my one night stay on March 4, 2017. The distraction came for the rowdy guests that were NOT kept in check in the areas where guests should be sleeping. After a 10 hour drive south, I was ready for a good night rest, but that didn't happen at this establishment. I checked in a little after 11:00 pm and noticed a nice crowd of people enjoying the moment -- not a bad scene. The biggest distraction upon arrival was the fire truck showing up because the elevator was over stuffed with 10 people and thus the elevator stopped in between floors. Not a good place to be if you're claustrophobic (I know I would freak out). The fire team finally opened the elevator and allowed the panicked guests relief. Calmness was added to the check-in area. As I made my way to my room to rest, the room on the left and the right was making a lot of noise. From what I gathered, tenants (or a tenant) was also going from door-to-door knocking. Perhaps visiting friends -- got it; but the noise of knocking at doors and then talking (loudly) was not helpful to tenants trying to sleep. I tried to not let this bother me, decided to settle down and sleep. Around 3:30 am, I heard loud voices on both sides and doors slamming; this went on for over half an hour. I decided to report this incident...bottom line, I was told "what do you expect on a Saturday night in Atlanta, Georgia." Was offered an opportunity to be moved to another room, but declined since I had already settled into the room and was getting up in a few hours to get back on the road to continue my drive south the next morning. Eventually, I addressed this issue with Hyatt Corporate and was refunded for the stay. This could have been an aberration from the norm, so I would say make reservations with caution and check out the lobby area FIRST to ensure there is not a rowdy crowd - this could be a good test of how your night may go. This Hyatt Place is an okay hotel, but not the best you can do in Norcross. It's fairly impressive at first: the lobby was clean, and initially my room seemed stylish and modern. However, once I looked closer there were a few signs of laziness on the staffs part: they had left a shampoo bottle from the previous guest sitting on the tub (although it looked like the room itself had been cleaned); there were a couple suspicious stains on the couch, and the faucet had rust around it. These things, although minor, gave the room a feeling of uncleanliness I'm not above staying in a cheap hotel, mind you. The only problem with this Hyatt is that it's not really that cheap compared to the other options in the area. For example, the nearby Courtyard is a few dollars cheaper a night *and* less icky. Staff was unprofessional and inattentive. I was placed on hold for 15 minutes in the middle of the night when just minutes before calling I came through an empty lobby, afterwards I went down to see what the hold up was and the security guard was on his phone far away from the front desk avoiding doing his job. I was told that they didn't have laundry service and then noticed a laundry bag in the closet with a form that said they provided laundry service. The room smelt like smoke and was very dirty. The shower head was covered in mold and the water had a very strong smell of bleach. Overpriced. You'll get just as good of an experience at the local budget inn. Save your money. read more

I would not stay here again based on some of their lack of sanitary practices. I went through the lobby on my way to pick up some medicine for my sick wife at 5AM in the morning. I felt sick to my stomach as I saw the 3 large bowls of fruit just sitting out in the open, not refrigerated! I am not talking bananas and apples but sliced fruits that needs to be kept cold or else will go bad fast. Breakfast doesn't begin until 7 and runs until 10. It didn't look like it had just been put out either. No wonder we got sick!! If this is their standards with food, what are their standard when cleaning the room? Our room was right by the elevator from hell. It beeps three times on each floor. You can hear it beeping all night. Beep, beep, beep. The staff was not helpful and able to move us at any point during our 3 night stay. The hotel also has very narrow hallways, making getting in and around the elevator a real hassle. It felt more like getting on the Marta than a hotel at times. Overall not impressed. For the price point, I would recommend Drury or Wingate instead. read more
