I had ordered a Thanksgiving centerpiece online for my in-laws table to be delivered on 11/26 between 11-12. My husband and I were in Dallas at the time. I thought it was weird I hadn't received a picture from my mother- in- law. So, I called and the lady was unable to locate the order. She went above and beyond to help. She took my number and was going to have her manager look into it. I received a call back and she stated that she found my order in an open cart. So, at no fault on their part but mine. The order was taken again over the phone and delivered that night at 8pm. I did receive a picture that night from the laws with love and gratefulness. This review is not intended as a slight to Hyvee itself, or any of its workers.....except ONE. The gentleman who is typically working in the hyvee gas station on 49th and Louise. He gets way too personal with customers, asking questions and invading personal space, not caring if people have a place to go and want to leave. Pretty decent selection of groceries here. They have pretty fresh looking vegetables here and plenty of selections of water, ice cream, alcohol and all the basics. The service is quick and reliable. No issues at all and no overcharging or anything like that. Plenty of parking outside and in a busy part of Sioux Falls so it seems rather safe walking in and out of here. Stopped in to pick up a quick cake for a departing employee. They only had 4 cakes that didn't already have HAPPY BIRTHDAY written on them and when asked the lady behind the counter her reply was "thats what we got". I asked if they could remove the "Happy Birthday and re-frost the cake and she said "Nope" ( i guess the 3 ladies were too busy catching up on the Bachelor or Love Island to help a customer) So I decided to go to the floral dept to get flowers instead and WOW the experience I had there was EXACTLY the same. Guess Hy-Vee on Louise is just too busy to help their customers. Guess what there are plenty of other grocery stores in town I am now shopping at. read more

Hyvee needs to stop using DoorDash. Hyvee has amazing customer service and product, and should not have to make excuses for DoorDash STOP USING THEM FOR YO UR DELIVERIES. Twice in a row now I have had my order not show up. Last time the driver couldn't find our place so he literally left our order in the middle of the block, and said he delivered it. Today they couldn't find our house but didn't call or anything. We live on a corner...in the middle of town. YOU CANT MISS IT!!! Seriously just try a little bit. You are letting another company destroy your good reputation. read more

I always forget NOT to stop at this location. Such a cluster. From aisles blocked with employees stocking shelves to old cashiers, this location. Is nothing but a headache. It's close to my work but I need to remember to go out of my way to another Hy-Vee or maybe a competitor as Hy-Vee customer service has gone WAY downhill. read more

I will admit, these five stars are after just a quick visit to Hy-Vee. I was amazed at the size and look of the store - clean, bright, and well stocked. As it was my first visit, I needed to ask for help finding things. All of the clerks were very friendly and took me right to what I was looking for. I will definitely be back again. read more

Most of the HyVee's have been upgraded or New in the Sioux Falls area, and I seem to be able to find everything I need plus many times there's even a post office there! read more

This store has just about everything, including an eatery INSIDE of the store!!! It's one of those grocery stores I want to dig up and bring to Chicago. That'll show you Jewel Osco!! The deli, the hot deli, bakery and soft drink options are huge. Got a bag of cooked shrimp there for $4, cheaper than Walmart!! Very little taxes there too. Things I saw there that aren't in Chicago I brought back home and it as nice. Great place to shop and take in the manly sights (OH MY). read more

Their prices are high as Hell and no smile in every isle!! Also watch out for their little fuel saver scam as they don't load all your gas discounts. We had to go back and have them add on 30 cents and the lady said, "That happens all the time." WHAT??? read more

Florist - just wanted to write a glowing review about the Hy-Vee floral department. I ordered flowers for a co-worker whose family member died and when they tried to deliver and found her out of town, they offered to delay the delivery until the following week. A seriously considerate thing to do and it really made my day as well as my co-worker's. read more

I came in for frozen meal since I am in town on business. I hate the parking lot as well as the lay of of the store it really doesn't flow well. The Kansas City locations have a much better flow. I couldn't find the soda area, so the lady I ask was very friendly as well as the clerk. read more

Terrible customer service from Sue A. Trying to return soup I bought for my 87 year old father in law yesterday and there are 2 of us in line. Sue appears to be helping woman in front of me at window one so I move to register two at customer service to set the 14 cans of soup on counter because heavy. Sue A turns around and rudely says I need to finish with her even though "her "is at the other register. Sue A proceeds to push 7 of the 14 cans of soup out of her way and calls the customer from register one over where my daughter and I are standing. I grab the bag to move it fully out of rude Sues way now that we are all over at register two. It clanks as cans do as I set it on top of my other bag and rude Sue proceeds to stop wheat she is doing to glare and snarl are customer service face at me. I proceed to tell her we will go to a different hyvee. I then turn to a less harsh employee and ask to talk to a manager. I get some young woman who clearly could care less. I tell her the situation and she just says oh that's too bad. I tell her I want to return this soup because in shopping for my father in law YESTERDAY I bought him progresso instead of Campbell's chunked that I bought at hy bee in cans. She proceeds to say she can't take it back. And it is because of Covid. I proceed to say I have a receipt and she says oh no we can't. I say fine I will Never be back again and she says ok. Hope your day gets better. WTF read more

It has been my experience: If you go to this Hy-Vee store for your weekly grocery shopping, you are paying for it's location. The prices are inflated! Many products are priced higher than other Hy-Vee locations. Much of their in store specials are ready to turn on the drop dead date, so choose them wisely. The employees can be very careless and rude. A better pick, go to Hy-Vee on 26th and Sycamore. A smaller store with everything easy to find, giving this store a higher turn over of products gives this location a great place for stock up sales and fresher meats and produce. We use to shop HyVee all the time but stopped when the prices continued to go up up up....We are so glad Fareway and now Aldi's came to town. They have our business now. We don't normally shop Walmart, but do if we've forgotten something on Saturday (since Fareway is closed on Sundays and if Aldi's doesn't have it) just to avoid going to HyVee. read more
