The prices are very reasonable and the service is very good. They can also order in any tyres or exhaust components that they don't carry stock of. The centre is within 5-10 minute walking distance from the town, so it's usually easiest to wait with the car. There is a good sized space outside to park, and a seperate reception area, where you can pay.

I have used them on several occassions and they have always been able to get me in for an appointment within a few days and at a time that suits me. They are situated just outside the main town area, but within a 5-10 minute walk. Previously a member of staff has waited past opening hours to let me collect my car at the time I was able to get there. As they don't do repairs at this site, they have no hidden agenda and are open and honest about the results of the MOT. The centre has a small waiting room area if you wanted to stay. The prices are reasonable, and haven't increased at a rapid rate like some other test centres. I also find it a nice touch that they write to me to remind me my MOT is due.

The main reason for this is that it gives you a totally honest and unbiased MOT check as it doesn't do any repairs to your car, so they have no reason to fail you just to get you to buy parts off them and pay for labour etc that you don't need. Also the lady who works there is great, really friendly and chatty. They have a nice little waiting room with a telly, tea and coffee machine and lots of magazines to keep you occupied while they MOT your car. I have found that on the occasions I have been, the waiting time has been quite long, so you are best dropping your car off, leaving it with them and picking it up later when its all done. The price does seems a tad on the expensive side to me, its about £50, but I suppose you are paying for the peace of mind that you will get an honest MOT. You also get a free retest if your car only requires a minor part to pass, such as new tyre etc. Think you have to pay a bit more to retest if it needs more major work doing and checking again. All in all, would highly recommend.
