I wish we could choose zero stars! This company was hired to DJ our daughter's wedding. Throughout the process, I had talked and emailed Thomas Huskey. He is the only person I talked with, ever. There was correspondence on the Thursday before the Saturday wedding and we were assured everything was good. He had received the questionnaire with songs for each part of the reception, he had received the song requests from our guests, he had received the very special Father/Daughter song, etc. Most of all, he never mentioned that he would not be the DJ to show up for the wedding, Imagine our surprise two days later when Rex showed up and said he would be the DJ. Well, my husband talked to Rex and explained that he was the most important part of how well the reception flowed and how much fun our guests had. Rex assured my husband he understood and had it all under control. THAT COULD NOT HAVE BEEN FARTHER FROM THE TRUTH.
The entire night, Rex played maybe 8 songs, all of which was barely audible and sounded as if they were coming through a tunnel. He struggled to do the basics. (introducing the wedding party etc. ). When it came time for the Father/Daughter dance, he attempted to play the special song that had been sent to THOMAS weeks prior. The one that THOMAS assured me he had and would be prepared to play. The first attempt of Rex's to play the song lasted about 1 second and stopped. He repeatedly tried another two or three times with each time stopping after a very short while. Finally, the song played a little longer and once it got to the part of the song that had purposely been mixed, REX stopped the music again. This time on purpose and asked, in front of everyone, "is it supposed to do that?!!. Really? A man who owns a business sent some inexperienced kid to DJ such a special event as a wedding and didn't even have the courage to tell me he would not be the one to show up. Absolutely inexcusable. My husband and daughter were not only embarrassed but heartbroken. They had taken dance lessons as well as paid an instructor to choreograph the dance and mix the songs for them. This was a lifelong favorite song of theirs. The once in a lifetime moment was ruined and will never come back around for a second chance. All of this because of a man who doesn't care about his customers, couldn't be honest and tell me he would not be the actual DJ, and went on to ruin the reception by sending someone so horrible at his "job". Honestly, we could have had better music if we had just played it from our iPhones and used Apple Music.
I have proof of the situation and can certainly produce if necessary. Although, Mr. Huskey has refunded the fees for the "service", he refuses to refund the almost $500 that has now been wasted on the dance lessons, choreographing, and mixing of music. (not to mention the lost opportunity). I find this to be a very sad representation of any business. He had to know how inexperienced REX was and that it was going to be a train wreck on my daughter's wedding day. He simply didn't care. Now, all he can seem to say is that he's sorry and refund a small portion of the problems he caused that we will be reminded of for a lifetime. BEWARE! read more
